The Denver Broncos requested and received permission from the New Orleans Saints to interview Sean Payton for their head coach job, league sources tell ESPN. The NFL ruled that any in-person interview with Payton cannot be conducted until at least January 17, per sources.

The #Chiefs earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs, along with a bye and the possibility of hosting the title game. Or playing at a neutral site.

Rams activated DB TJ Carter from practice squad and signed TE Jared Pinkney to active roster. Safety Nick Scott will end the season on IR after hurting his shoulder in Thursday’s practice. Russ Yeast expected to start in place of Scott; Quentin Lake also expected to get time.

    PARAM:

Want to know something depressing? Morris’ defense forced 40 three and outs this year, with highs of 5 (vs Carolina), 5 (@Tampa) and 4 (vs N.Orleans). Our offense has had 52 of them on 157 possessions. That’s 33% of our possessions and more than 3 a game. The only game we didn’t have at least two 3 and outs was Denver. We had at least three in 12 games, 4 or more in 7 games with a high of 8 against…….Tampa

MTG says Kevin McCarthy has given HER the power to fire 87,000 IRS agents. She says he has agreed to fire Merrick Garland and abolish the FBI and DOJ. Who gave Kevin McCarthy the power to fire anybody that works for the Executive Branch? He is making promises he cant keep.

Beat the Seahawks and they’re out! Pete Carroll’s Seahawks have lost to the likes of Sam Bradford, Austin Davis, Nick Foles, Case Keenum, and John Wolford while playing QB for the Rams… Time to add a Baker to the list!

Ive always been surprised there isnt more of this in the NFL. Such a collision-sport. w v

My guess is that whatever caused this was a condition or something he already had. The collision triggered it and set it off, but that this is not something that would happen to everyone playing the game.

Harry from Facebook. He’s a very old friend of mine who has been a zookeeper for decades.

we’ve had an interesting set of observations here at Zoo Boise involving crows. We have an African species in our Gorongosa National Park exhibit, and shortly after they were introduced to their outside enclosure, native crows started flocking to the exhibit, where they would sit on top and chatter incessantly. As this progressed, what initially sounded like two distinct dialects began to merge into a single language! Very cool! But now, three years later, they rarely talk with one another.

    from quora

Because apparantly he isn’t just an abrasive influencer with a business fueled by his chronic need for attention… in fact the truth is a little darker, a little more twisted — Andrew Tate is a full-on human trafficker. Police in Romania have arrested him for it before but couldn’t prove it initially. Afterwards, Tate went undercover. Laid low for a while. He was still in Romania, but wasn’t giving clues as to where exactly he was staying.

Everything changed when he got into a Twitter spat with teenaged climate activist Greta Thunberg. Tate tried to “troll” her by showing off his car collection and bragging about their “enormous emissions”. Thunberg shot back by telling him he was an insecure attention seeker with a tiny penis. Of course, Tate made a video response — he notoriously relishes in attention and more clicks equals more pay for him. Dude couldn’t help himself. So he makes this video, and in it he has a pizza box, because he’s still on that “haha I’m not recycling, screw the environment!” spiel to rile up the 19-year-old Swedish nature lover.

Romanian police is still watching Tate, monitoring his every move online and figure out from the box of pizza that the pizza place he bought it is local. As he’s hidden his IP quite well, they track his location using the pizza. Figuring out where he is, the police send in a team and arrest both Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate. They also free six young sex slaves from their mansion, allegedly held against their will and forced to make videos and R-rated content for buyers around the world. As I’m writing this, the cigar-smoking self-help guru is held in police custody as his entire home and all his belongings are being raided and evidence collected.

Andrew Tate is hated because he’s cocky, arrogant, and his business model primarily consists of causing outrage and mining clicks from it. Naturally this method of courting controversy in exchange for money will result in a lot of people finding you rather obnoxious. It worked brilliantly for him until one day, it didn’t… and a juvenile exchange with an awkward little Swedish climate activist became Tate’s downfall.

One hero who should be recognized here: Last night, I was told the work of Bills assistant athletic trainer Denny Kellington in administering CPR to Damar Hamlin on Monday was absolutely vital. The speed and skill with which he and others reacted = A huge difference-maker.

A number of details on NFL changes, via NFL source … 1) Bengals have won AFC North, will be recognized as such. 2) Several sites being considered for a neutral-site AFC title game. 3) Bills/Bengals, for record-keeping purposes, declared a no-contest.

LB @Bwagz  needs 10 tackles to break the @RamsNFL single-season record for tackles (142) set by LB James Laurinaitis in 2011 and 2012. He would set the record in his first season with the Rams and against his former team.

    from the wiki

After the Patriots 1985 Divisional Playoff victory against the Los Angeles Raiders, Sullivan was struck by Raiders linebacker Matt Millen on the head. Millen hit Sullivan in retaliation for Sullivan’s heckling of Raider Howie Long from the sidelines.

Some fire end-of-year gifts coming for the reigning champs @RamsNFL from Matthew Stafford who had me fly to LA yesterday to fit all 14 of his offensive linemen for their choice of a custom suit or bomber jacket. Continued power moves by these quarterbacks #Rams

If the Broncos were to hire Sean Payton, Vic Fangio–Payton’s preferred choice for defensive coordinator–might have to decide whether to return to a franchise that fired him as HC a year ago..

Fangio could potentially be in play in Denver as DC for Payton or Harbaugh. I now believe it’s at least possible he’d consider that. Faith in new ownership and big money could help sway him. Would be awkward, though, just 12 months after he was fired as HC.

Rams OC Liam Coen says he has not yet made a decision about whether he’s going back to Kentucky, though offer is on the table for him to do so. He wants to finish out the season with his guys and then take a few days with his family after that to consider what will be best.

There’s a chance we have THREE teams with losing records (Jaguars, Titans, Buccaneers) make the playoffs. Only THREE losing teams in @NFL history have made the playoffs in a non-strike season.
