Per PFF, Trent McDuffie wasn’t targeted all game, while Watson was targeted 3 times and allowed one catch for…5 yards.

Stafford showed why he’s the most clutch QB in the league . He was slinging that ball all over the field, threw it wherever he wanted , no looks, poised in pocket. We are blessed and should enjoy this as he’s the last of a dying breed (pocket gun slingers)

You gotta win those games against the Broncos and Bills. And I’ll say it again they keep losing these games where Stafford balls out and puts them in position to win only for them that lose anyhow. Sean McVay needs to get it together

    from https://theramswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/rams/2026/10/14/rams-trent-mcduffie-josh-wallace-passer-rating-allowed/92245726007/

Josh Wallace, who has been forced to step up because of injuries to Kam Kinchens and Watson, is playing some exceptional football. He’s played in the slot and outside, showing the type of versatility that has made McDuffie great throughout his career.

Pro Football Focus put into perspective just how well McDuffie and Wallace are playing right now, sharing that they rank first and second in passer rating allowed among all NFL cornerbacks.

Well, Stafford didn’t ‘ball out’ against the Broncos. He through a terrible pick6 to lose that game. Had to be one of the three worst passes he’s thrown as a Ram.

He’s a big part of the problem this year.

I see him getting into his groove. IMO? Special teams/defense lost the Denver game. They led 19-0 at the half.

And we know Stafford overcomes INTs, meaning he will have down spells for a few games then come out OF it. He has done that many times before in his career. Heck in 2021, Rams lost 3 in a row in November, with MS throwing 5 INTs in those games. At that point they were 7/4 as a team. But Stafford came out of it. That postseason he led 3 consecutive 4th quarter comebacks, culminating in the win over the Bengals.

I think its more likely than not he gets back into his groove. (and yes, i well-remember the gawd-awful-Novermber)

But right now, I’d say he’s not in his groove. Buffalo’s defense made Drake Maye look like an MVP, so i assumed Stafford was gonna play well against them. But Denver has a real defense.

Lotta teams look sloppy this year. More so than i ever remember.
