    FINAL:

    Rams 24
    Eagles 20

Matthew Stafford notches his 40th career 4th-quarter comeback and 51st career game-winning drive.

Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams were unreal in the fourth. And so was the defense, pitching a second-half shutout.

    J.B. Long@JB_Long
The @RamsNFL have scored 24+ points in 8 straight road games, tying a franchise record (1999-2000).

    4th Quarter touchdown drives:

    10 plays, 98 yards
    10 plays, 79 yards

Kyren Williams punches them both in for a 24-20 win.

A year later, on the same field where a 19pt second half lead evaporated against the Eagles, the Rams rally from down 10 in the 4th quarter to win in Philadelphia, 24-20.

For those fan who are new to watching Matthew Stafford
there’s nothing wrong with him.

Welcome to the show. You get one of those awful stupid “wtf” throws a game then he becomes a wizard for the remaining 50 minutes of the game.

    trey wingo@wingoz
That is a MASSIVE win for the Rams.. and the 1st time Sean McVay has beaten Nick Sirianni. The Eagles? Their WORST 3rd down performance in franchise history..0/12

    Greg Beacham@gregbeacham
A signature game for Kyren Williams today. His extra effort in big moments has been enormous.

Puka certainly seems different this year. Less bubbly-goofy-effervescent. I dunno if thats a good thing or not. He sounds more like Davante than Puka.

    stafford today:

    first 10 drives:
    20/36 (56%), 169 yds, 0 td, 2 int, 44.8 passer rating

    last 2 drives:
    12/15 (80%), 148 yds, 0 td, 0 int, 107.8 passer rating

    Sarah Barshop@sarahbarshop
From NGS: The Rams’ win probability reached its lowest point at 3.2% with 8:17 left in the game. The Rams were trailing 20-10 and the Eagles had third and goal on the 2-yard line.

The Rams kept the Eagles out of the end zone and then scored touchdowns on their next two drives.

    Sosa Kremenjas@QBsMVP
Tyler Higbee — ol reliable. He had at least 3 incredible catches today. He did drop the 4th-down ball, but he’s been unreal the last 2 games when needed.

Rams defense [was] bringing all kinds of cool heat on third downs

I would think that several people told Puka to get his shit together and grow up, or he was going to lose $100 million. Sounded to me like a guy who took that to heart, and grew three sizes that day.

Well, it just seems so…real. Seems like an actual change. As opposed to
the usual bullshit-PR-fake-change we see on a weekly basis all over this fine beacon of freedom and justice.

As for Rodrigue’s comment, i hope someone posts the blitz rate in this game. It seemed to me Chris Shula blitzed more in this game than he ever has in any game as a rams coach. I for one was glad to see it.

It will be interesting to see how they play Josh Allen.

Some interesting points in this bit (from eagles perspective).

Did they really run the ball 13 straight times?

    Los Angeles Rams

Speaking of adversity, the Rams answered the bell in Philadelphia. The Fox cameras caught an interesting scene with less than three minutes left in the third quarter Sunday, and Los Angeles trailing 20–10 at soggy Lincoln Financial Field. There was Sean McVay, headset off and in his left hand, demonstratively addressing his offensive starters.

They were collectively staring down the barrel of a 1–3 start. So McVay wasn’t making a game plan adjustment here.

“There wasn’t really anything crazy. It wasn’t anything out of the norm,” running back and captain Kyren Williams said from the team plane afterward. “He was just telling us, Man, believe in who we are. Believe in this team. Believe in each and every individual on this team. Believe in it. It’s just a belief that we’ve got to have, to go out here and play the game that we know how to play. And that’s all it was.

“It wasn’t like, Oh, I’m going to call this play. I’m going to call that play. It was all just about believing in each other, believing in the organization, believing in the system, and just going out to work and just being who we are. That’s all.”

It didn’t work right away—the Rams’ next possession ended with a turnover on downs in minus territory—but it would eventually.

Over the last half of the fourth quarter, after the defense got a fourth-and-goal stop at the 2 with 7:26 left, the offense churned out a 10-play, 98-yard drive, then a 10-play, 79-yard drive to stamp a methodical comeback that a staunch Philly defense made them earn. There were no big splash plays—Vic Fangio’s unit wasn’t going to give them those—and that only worked to illuminate just how good the Rams can be, paper-cutting their hosts to death.

“The way that we continue to keep fighting, like, there was no one single play,” Williams said. “It’s how we came together as a team. And obviously the defense played their butts off. They were able to get us back on the field and get that fourth-down stop on that first push. And that’s where all it was, man. We’re just believing that’s all it is at the end of the day, man. Some things aren’t going our way. That’s O.K.

“You got to know who we are, go out there and trust it. And that’s all it was.”

And just like the Cowboys, the Rams’ resilience is shining through in the draw that the league delivered them, one that’s unrelenting because of their place on the NFL marquee.

The Rams opened in Australia, before coming home to play on a Monday night, then making a short-week trip to Denver, before going back to L.A. then cross-country to Philly. Next up? Another Monday nighter, this one against a Bills team coming off a loss. But just like the Cowboys, the Rams’ survival of this scheduling meat grinder is revealing how equipped they are for it.

“One-thousand percent,” said Williams. “I think that when you’ve run into adversity early, it teaches you. It teaches you how to go back on those moments. Say later on in the season, we’re in a situation that we want to be in, we can go back to these moments to when we’re in Philly or we’re in Australia or in Denver. We can go back to these moments and see what we did and see how we were able to stay connected.”

    Tale of Two Staffords

Stafford single handedly gave the Eagles points when he threw two interceptions; giving the Eagles short field position. Then time and time again, Stafford was just missing his wide receivers. Some of that was the wet conditions but some of that was just trying to make something happen when he just needed to take what the defense was giving him.

    But
the reason that Stafford has been so great in his career and aged well into his late 30s is because of his ability to bounce back. Regardless of his box score production, Stafford is just gritty and can lead a game winning drive or 4th quarterback in any circumstance or condition. He notched his 40th career 4th quarter comeback; joining Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Ben Roethlisberger as the only quarterbacks to do so.

today was the 12th time the rams have scored 14 points in the 4th quarter under mcvay, including the thrilling 54-51 monday night win vs the chiefs in 2018.

the rams are 11-1 in these 12 games.

    1st & Tuna@1standtuna
Per NFL Research, the Rams used 11 personnel on 67 of 77 plays (87.0%), their highest rate in a game since Week 5, 2025.

    Jackson Durham@JDurham_FBall
Playing without Aaron Donald or Myles Garrett, the Rams defense today delivered 4 sacks of Jalen Hurts, including 2 on the final drive to seal it

They entered the game with just 3 on the year

    1st & Tuna@1standtuna
For all the problems and bullshit today, the Rams get the ball back with 3:07 to play down 3.

This is where the talk of leadership and trusting your guys proves itself.

It’s better to walk down and win the game ugly as hell rather than talk up how you’ll be better tomorrow.

    NFL Week 4 Observations
    Rams 24, Eagles 20

    – What an absolutely devastating loss for the Eagles, who were up for the whole game but could never shut the door on Los Angeles.

    – It seemed like the Rams blitzed on every third down and the Eagles did not convert one third down the whole game.

    – Jalen Hurts had under 100 passing yards.

    – Rams edge Bryon Young is one of the more underrated players in the league, he had a great game.

    – Saquon Barkley left with a hamstring injury and did not return.

    – The Eagles defense held the Rams to 10 points until the final two drives, where LA came alive, scored twice in the final 4ish minutes, and played their best offense of the day by far.

    – Again, this was a very bad loss for the Eagles.

    Byron Young

If Williams and Nacua were closers on offense, Young was just that on defense. He had a half-sack prior to the Rams’ final defensive drive, and within a three-play span, he added two sacks to his total. He sacked Jalen Hurts on first down and then got to him again for the strip-sack on third down, making it fourth-and-25 with only seconds left on the clock.

He’s been excellent for the Rams with Myles Garrett out and showed once again on Sunday that his speed can’t be contained in obvious passing situations.

Astonishingly, and fwiw, Draftkings has the Rams as the Superbowl favorites. Followed by the Bills.

49ers, Seahawks, Chiefs, Ravens are all tied in the next tier.
