InvaderRamModeratorI’m torn, but I think they should trade up from 13, but once they do, I don’t know if they should take Greg Robinson, Jason Smith, or Adam Carriker. Of course they could also get Lawrence Phillips.
i know all this speculating is kinda silly, but i can’t help it. haha. something to tide me over until the draft.
i was also thinking if love somehow drops to 13, rams should pick him. they already have two capable running backs, but he would add an explosive element to the run game that’s been lacking. also. love has played some slot receiver in college. i could see him lining up as a slot in 11 personnel while also switching out with williams and corum in the backfield.
the rams have been confirmed to have met with him. could be a smokescreen.
InvaderRamModeratorok. i’m just gonna put this out there right now. i’d like to see the rams draft one of either kenyon sadiq or eli stowers. either they pick sadiq at 13 or stowers at 29 (i don’t think he gets to the bottom of the second). and then draft dbs with the other first rounder and the second rounder. maybe even a third with the third rounder.
sadiq and stowers are both not only athletic freaks, but their character and mentality are off the charts too. it would give them three big and athletic tight ends in one of the rookies plus ferguson and parkinson. plus they’d have allen. they could really look into the 13 personnel packages. plus either ferguson or the rookie could be big wide receivers as well. it’d potentially be a matchup nightmare. nacua, adams, ferguson, and sadiq/stowers would be scary good. even in the run game.
they’d still have enough draft capital to address the secondary which is supposed to be deep this year.
that’s what’s on my mind right now just football wise.
InvaderRamModeratorAccording to the comments, Caldwell wasnt at the Senior bowl and is not a great route runner. Another Cincy WR was at the Senior Bowl. Cyrus Allen.
Still, 6’5″ and 4.32 — someone is gonna draft him.
w
vi just assumed it was true. my bad. i do know that he wasn’t recruited out of high school. spent several years at a small school before his one year at cincinnati. i’m not sure he even played much in high school. so very raw prospect.
InvaderRamModeratorjeff caldwell. a name to keep an eye on.
We have to stop sleeping on Cincinnati WR Jeff Caldwell. We have to stop. A consensus UDFA? Joke.

InvaderRamModeratorI’m not so convinced of that myself. I would like to see them use pick 13 on the highest ranking 1st-round worthy CB on the board (of course they would have to see whoever it is as a fit). That’s even if the odds are that CB, if the Rams didn’t take him, would fall to somewhere in the 20s.
well. it would depend. on who was there. for me at least.
but at this point i would lean toward trading down.

Colton Hood is putting on a show so far in drills.Outstanding day imo
He and Terrell both backing up the first round status today.
Smooth as butter
Dane Brugler@dpbrugler
Chris Johnson is currently No. 38 in my top-100. Sticky cover man w/ instincts.Low 4.4s speed, 38″ vert, 10’6″ broad
One of “my guys” in this class.
the more i read the more i think the rams should trade down.
InvaderRamModeratorDrafted FBS TEs to exceed 0.125 1st downs per route run in their last college season, since 2020:
2020 – Kyle Pitts
2021 – Trey McBride
2022 – Dalton Kincaid, Matthew Meyer
2023 – Brock Bowers
2024 – Harold Fannin, Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland
2025 – Eli Stowers, TANNER KOZIOL… pic.twitter.com/BmZl3D2w2b— Ethan Kreager (@EthanKreagerFF) February 22, 2026
InvaderRamModeratori wouldn’t mind seeing sadiq or stowers in a rams uni. one of the two paired with ferguson, puka, and adams would be something else. and then either one of williams or corum in the backfield.
and then draft a bunch of defensive backs in the first three rounds.
not in any particular order of course.
InvaderRamModeratorrams should trade down. maybe from both first rounders.
InvaderRamModeratorwell. eli stowers just blew the combine out of the water!
6’4″ 239 pounds
32 5/8″ arms 9 3/4″ hands
4.51 40
45.5″ vert
11’3″ broadwhat a weapon he would be.
InvaderRamModeratorsafeties really showing out today.
i’m starting to think that if the guy they want isn’t there with the first pick, they could still find two later with the second first rounder and their second rounder.
maybe pick best available with the first pick.
InvaderRamModeratordefensive backs and tight ends work out today.

InvaderRamModeratorYeah why should we expect anyone to actually know the team roster in any depth when they discuss the Rams on national sports media.
well no. next season is when they evolve from 13 personnel to 10 personnel. and they unveil their jumbo package featuring three guards and three tackles and one wide receiver.
InvaderRamModeratorWonder what happened with Aubrey Pleasant? He didnt keep a job with McVay and he didnt get a job anywhere else.
that’s what i’d like to know. came on here to see if there was any insight.
Enter Dave Ragone: A Run-Game Counterbalance
While Scheelhaase’s background leans into spacing, structure, and pass-game architecture, Ragone’s history adds a complementary dimension rooted in physicality and efficiency.
that’s also what i was wondering. that gives me some comfort. excited to see if he can improve the run game any.
InvaderRamModeratorso cool. i know it’s been posted already but wanted to post it again.

InvaderRamModeratorAlso…btw…Stafford’s 1-yard TD pass to Adams in the 4th quarter against JAX traveled 25.3 yards in the air.
People are just extraordinarily good at bias assimilation.
also. i don’t know about inside the 5 but inside the 10.

Looking at my Omar Cooper Jr notes- He’s the Ramsiest WR in the draft.***
Though he doesn’t boast a rare combination of size, speed or athleticism, he’s exactly the type of receiver the Rams tend to look for.
Cooper is 6 feet tall and around 200 pounds, but he’s as physical as any wideout in the draft. He’s excellent at picking up yards after the catch, not only with his elusiveness in the open field, but by fighting for extra yardage through sheer effort.
What makes him particularly intriguing for the Rams is his willingness to block. That’s something Sean McVay always asks of his receivers, which allows Los Angeles to stay in 11 personnel as often as it does.
Todd McShay raved about Cooper on his podcast recently, describing him as the type of receiver the Rams tend look for in the draft.
“He’s the most consistent, reliable, toughest son of a (expletive) blocker in this class at wide receiver,” McShay said. “He’s 6-foot, maybe just shy, but his effort, his angles, his ability to sustain, the way he fights is unparalleled.”
one of many reasons i think the rams should wait until later rounds to get another receiver. rams should concentrate on defense in the first round.
InvaderRamModeratori just hope with lafleur gone the running game doesn’t suffer. scheelhaase and ragone both look like they specialize in the passing game. although scheelhaase did spend some time coaching running backs and was a run game coordinator at iowa state for some time.
but if i remember correctly lafleur was known for his ability to design effective rushing offenses.
InvaderRamModerator𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: Seahawks S Nick Emmanwori says the NFC title game vs the Rams was “definitely different” compared to the Super Bowl against the Patriots.

InvaderRamModerator“After the Rams cut Kupp last March, he was stunned that the most powerful people in the Rams’ organization never called to thank him for his time with the franchise. (He later debriefed with McVay and maintains a good relationship with his former head coach…).”
Sounds like he heard from McVay…later. A while after the fact.
i guess i should have read that article better. maybe mcvay learned from the goff fallout.
this was especially troubling.
After the 2024 season, rather than trying to negotiate a salary reduction with the former All-Pro, the Rams had unceremoniously cut ties, urging him to retire. As Kupp approached free agency, sources say, he came to believe that some L.A. officials had cautioned potential suitors against paying him anything more than the veteran minimum, suggesting that age and an accumulation of injuries had provoked a steep decline.
Late in the first half of that game, Kupp’s red-zone fumble had killed a potential Seattle scoring drive. According to several witnesses, the fallout from that play sparked a confrontation between Rams and Seahawks coaches as they spilled out of their upstairs boxes at half’s end and took a shared elevator ride to field level.
The witnesses said several Rams assistants were discussing the fumble in question as they neared the elevator. One offensive coach asked which Seattle player had been responsible, and when another replied that it was Kupp, the coach snickered as though he expected the answer.
That drew the ire of Seahawks outside linebackers coach Chris Partridge, whose enraged response caused Rams defensive pass rush coordinator Drew Wilkins to yell back at him. Partridge, witnesses said, had to be held back by other Seahawks coaches in the packed elevator, averting a possible skirmish.
InvaderRamModeratorThe classy thing to do is to recognize their contributions.
i’m not saying you’re wrong. but how exactly did the rams and kupp part ways? i’m honestly trying to remember how it all came about. and what could have been done to soften the blow.
and it wasn’t just kupp. it was jones, gurley, and goff too. they all came out of it pretty bitter. rams are pretty ruthless when it comes to getting rid of players who no longer fit their plans. the only one i can think of where it did end amicably was with ramsey, but it was pretty much a mutual parting of ways.
InvaderRamModeratorideally matt plays for a couple more years. i think next year’s class should be better.
InvaderRamModeratorhe also will be in his age 24 season with only one real season of production which apparently is shaky at best.
InvaderRamModeratorWhy?
I don’t know anything about him.
primarily because if stafford only has one year left i’d rather all resources go toward winning a superbowl. i don’t think spending resources on a qb helps that.
but also this is supposed to be a weak year for qb. everything i’ve read indicates this is not the year to be pursuing a qb in the draft.
have i seen him? no. so i’m really going off other people’s opinions.
InvaderRamModeratorLouis Riddick on yesterday’s NFL Draft Daily “I know personally they (Rams) like Ty Simpson. His skillset and makeup is exactly what they’re looking for”
hopefully this is just a smokescreen. even if stafford was retiring i think this would be a bad idea.
InvaderRamModeratorif parkinson is cut, you gotta think tight end is a target in the draft.
InvaderRamModerator“I just didn’t want the Patriots to win it.”
belichick and kraft also denied the hall of fame. we know. we all know.
InvaderRamModeratorso does that make johnny hekker the last remaining st louis ram to still be playing in the nfl?
havenstein. one of the most underappreciated rams players in recent memory?
