from PFF, Post-Free Agency Power Rankings: https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-post-free-agency-power-rankings-rams-seahawks-2026?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=dhtwitter&utm_content=null

    1. Los Angeles Rams

In the PFF era (since 2006), no team had ever finished the year ranked atop the NFL in both PFF team offensive (93.0) and defensive (86.9) grading — until the Rams did this past season. Led by NFL and PFF MVP Matthew Stafford and PFF Offensive Player of the Year Puka Nacua, the Rams were a force to be reckoned with.

Even still, Los Angeles entered March looking to address its Achilles’ heel in coverage after a late-season collapse. And the front office did just that, pulling off an aggressive trade for cornerback Trent McDuffie and signing Jaylen Watson — key pieces to the Chiefs’ fifth-ranked coverage unit. Those additions leave the Rams with virtually no weaknesses.

    2. Seattle Seahawks

The Super Bowl champion Seahawks cede some ground here after seeing key contributors walk this offseason, including Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III, three starters on defense and offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. While those are significant losses, Seattle maintains a strong foundation in all three phases of the game, the blueprint to its championship run.

All three units feature elite talent, highlighted by Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba and PFF’s highest-graded cornerback, Devon Witherspoon, to name a few. The front office also re-signed elite returner Rashid Shaheed.

Yeah the rules changes changed the QB position — and the Safety position.

    Safeties used to be murderous.

OK, give him 43 million a year. Not bad for a 5th round pick, making one million, thirty thousand a year.

But there needs to be a special puka-clause in the contract — he’s not allowed to say anything spontaneously. Or do anything, spontaneously.

i wish there was another way to do the salary cap, so it was easier to keep your guys. i read somewhere suggesting that the qbs be put on their own separate cap. and then the other players with their own cap. i don’t know. it’s a shame that the rams will have to lose some of these guys they’ve drafted and developed.

then again. maybe that means getting trent mcduffie becomes that much harder. or watson.

Reading this, think of Goff in 2019 and 2020.

    Matt Waldman@MattWaldman
Quarterbacking is an improvisational performance craft delivered to crowds bigger than arena concerts and hyper analyzed everywhere.

Good processing is accurate fast, and confident.

Confidence is the most underrated facet. In the environment just described, mistakes can erode it. Then, you overthink and processing to action slows.

This is why the emotionally resilient QB who throws INTs but plays thru it without eroded confidence is as valuable as low-mistake performers.

Did they source me with the idea?

    Apparently not.

AJ Brown was almost a RAM?!?

Not really. Here’s what he tells us. Yes the Rams and Eagles talked (which we knew). Eagles wanted to sell him high, Rams wanted to buy him low.

That means it was not a serious negotiation.

All this story does is give away the fact that the Rams are looking to add a serious 3rd WR. They can do that in the draft.
