To sum up how insane this season has been so far: There is only one game in Week 8 between teams with winning records:

Not Ravens-Bucs.
Not 49ers-Rams.
Not Packers-Bills.

I would think a Robert Quinn reunion would be a good thing, too. I don’t know how he’s doing this year, but he was a presence last year. He’d cost less draft capital.

I never heard of Burns until I saw his name pop up in trade rumors last week, so that’s how much I know.

But he is described as a young, forceful edge rusher, and I think the Rams need that more than they need a good RB, especially one with questionable tread left on the tires. Von Miller put the defense over the top last year, and looks like Burns could do the same.

The Rams need to also bring back OBJ who put the Rams offense over the top last year.

With those two additions, the Rams will be competitive. The Rams got to Super Bowls with CJ Anderson and Sony Michel being their most productive backs, and while it’s nice to have premium talent in the backfield, the Rams can at least compete with Henderson, Brown, and Williams. And maybe they get another body for a 3rd-day pick.

The Rams are going to have to play their best game of the season so far to win this game. The 9ers defense is very real, and the Rams offense has been struggling. They may get some help from the discord in SF, but this is also the kind of game that would right the ship for them, and there is money on the line for JG here.
