Davante Adams has an oblique injury. The Rams are hopeful that he’ll be all right and Sean McVay thinks he probably could have come back in had the game been close.

ILB Nate Landman has forced a fumble in back-to-back games. He has three FFs this season which ranks tied for third in the NFL. His nine FFs since 2023 are the third-most for any player in that span. This also marks the third straight year he’s forced 3 fumbles.

The SF defense in its current state had no answer for an offense the caliber of LA. SF offense was good but a couple of costly mistakes put them in hole too big to dig out of.

#49ers head to Arizona next week.

As per new tradition: Rams have been in 13 personnel on 41.7% of offensive snaps so far today, per Next Gen Stats. They have a 68% success rate and four of six TDs out of the personnel grouping

The Rams also have 12 TDs out of 13 personnel, more than doubling next-closest team (Steelers/5)

Rams possessions in Week 10 at SF:
    6 TD
    2 punts
    2 knees

With his fifth catch today, WR Puka Nacua has recorded his 250th reception in his 36th career game, the fastest to reach the mark in NFL history (Michael Thomas, Odell Beckham Jr. – 38 games).

    Wyatt Miller@wymill07
Wrote about the Rams’ high rate of dime personnel this week and Jaylen McCollough being the player they want to highlight with it.

He just had 2 pass breakups in dime during that 2-minute drill to help force a punt.

Second-straight game with an INT for Forbes

    Los Angeles Rams PR@TheLARamsPR
RB Kyren Williams is now tied for eighth in franchise history for rushing touchdowns with Tank Younger (31) and Greg Bell (31). Williams has recorded his seventh career game with multiple rush touchdowns and his first this season. Only five players have more games with multiple rush TDs since he recorded his first in 2023 (Josh Allen 9, Derrick Henry 9, Jonathan Taylor 9, Jahmyr Gibbs 8, Jalen Hurts 8).

Third straight week with 34+ points for the Rams offense.

These dudes are locked in. Credit starts with Matthew Stafford, obviously, but the move to 13 personnel and the play of the offensive line can’t be understated.

It’s all working in tandem right now.

from NFL Execs Vote on Midseason MVP, Coach of the Year, More Awards

    Albert Breer

    https://www.si.com/nfl/nfl-execs-vote-on-midseason-mvp-coach-of-year-more-awards#:~:text=After%20the%20votes%20were%20tallied,to%20come%20to%20that%20conclusion.

…midseason every year, in this space, I poll NFL general managers, VPs, directors of player personnel and directors of pro scouting to try to get their take on who should win what.

This year, we wound up with a panel of 42 voters, and a wide-open race for MVP. An eye-opening 10 different players received votes. After the votes were tallied, Stafford was the winner. He finished five votes clear of Josh Allen, and had more than double the votes of every candidate below that.

Most Valuable Player: Matthew Stafford, QB, Rams (13 votes)

Also receiving votes: Bills QB Josh Allen (8), Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (5), Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield (4), Chargers QB Justin Herbert (3), Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (3), Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (2), Colts QB Daniel Jones (2), Patriots QB Drake Maye (1), Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith Njigba (1)

Quietly, Stafford is having an off-the-charts year. He’s on pace for 4,562 yards and a 45–4 TD-INT ratio, and the Rams are tied for first in the NFC West. He has been incredibly efficient (113.2 rating) and consistent (a 98-or-better rating in seven of eight games), while facing a challenging schedule (the Rams faced the Eagles, Colts, 49ers and Ravens in succession) in a rugged division. Now, this can be a storyline award, and Stafford may lack one that’s new or different for voters to latch onto. But if you want a quarterback who runs an offense at an incredibly high level, while rarely missing a throw, Stafford’s your guy.

…for those on the inside, it’s how he continues to raise the bar for everyone around him that makes him such a viable candidate for MVP. Puka Nacua is averaging over 100 yards per game. Davante Adams is on pace for 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns. Depth at tight end is being developed, and Kyren Williams, Blake Corumm and a rugged line are giving the team its physical edge. And Stafford, quite simply, is the straw that stirs this drink.

“His value is the endless ability to elevate others and instill a genuine belief that because he is at the switch, we always have a chance,” coach Sean McVay texted late Thursday night when I gave him the MVP vote results. “Plus, his toughness and love for competing are contagious and has become the identity of our team. True coach on the field.”

And one that brings actual value in every sense of the word.

He always has, too. So, finally, this is when it gets recognized.

About that last game and what some say “Shanny was able to pull off”, SF had a 20-7 lead with 6 and 1/2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, and then if not for a timely fumble brought on by a punch to the head, a missed FG, missed PAT and a dumb play call on 4th down in OT, “Shanny” wouldn’t have pulled off anything! In reality, he didn’t pull off anything. The Rams pulled off a great gift to SF.

It was close because we had a missed FG, a missed PAT and a fumble by Kyren going into the end zone to ICE THE GAME!!!! Hell, make either of the first two and we would have had a 21-20 lead or a 23-20 lead or make both and we’d have had a 24-20 lead when Kyren fumbled going into the end zone. How does any of those three events suggest Shanny is in McVay’s head? Rams players fucked up, not McVay.

Every year we ask, Is this the year the Rams run more 12-personnel?

The answer is no. Instead, 2025 is the Year of 13-Personnel, and the 3-TE sets are helping the Rams passing game soar

Sean McVay said they are in good shape in terms of injuries. Puka Nacua (ribs) and Darious Williams (shoulder) will practice fully and Jordan Whittington (back) will be limited and listed as questionable for Sunday, but is trending in the right direction.
