wvParticipantDak Prescott is the no.6 QB in the NFL?
Dunno about that.—
Richard Sherman. Sigh.
Was rooting for him because of his candor
and support for BLM, etc.
I’ll be curious to see what this incident is all about.w
v
wvParticipantFirst off, the pants matter.
I dunno what the pants look like.Second off, they are not what Roman, Snow, Deacon and Merlin wore,
and therefore, they suck.w
v
wvParticipantI’m 64 now. Do’in ok for 64. The usual nagging stuff,
but nothing major yet. But, like climate-change, i know somethin
is coming.w
v
wvParticipantGreat news, J. Great news.
Now…what about this OLine?
wvParticipantYesterday I shared my new article, but I gotta say: the field of police history, as well as broader carceral history, is incredibly strong right now. I can't possibly highlight everything that's happening, but here are some new articles and books you gotta read. Thread…

wvParticipantLooks good, BT. Made it to Austin local news, i see:
wvParticipantHey dub vee, what happened to all your Russia-based news and commentary stuff? Is that a shift in how you view it or did the interest thread just run out?
Curious.

I dont think my views on Russia and Russia-gate have changed any.
I still agree with Noam, Blumenthal, Aaron Mate, etc on
Russia-gate.I still think the latest version of the cold-war against
Russia and China is utter bullshit.USA – biggest gangster. Russia smaller gangster.
China – gangster, but probly the best of the three.w
v
wvParticipantThe updated version of the old southern strategy.

wvParticipant“..Critical race theory emerged out of postmodernist thought, which tends to be skeptical of the idea of universal values, objective knowledge, individual merit, Enlightenment rationalism, and liberalism—tenets that conservatives tend to hold dear…”
—I was waiting for the postmodernism reference.
w
v
wvParticipantWell, I think PFF has over-rated Havenstein
and under-rated Ramsey. There was no better CB in the NFL last year
than Ramsey. He went up against some
awesome WRs.w

wvParticipantOne of my favorite scenes in any film.
Written by Paddy Chayefsky
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddy_Chayefsky“..His screenplay for Network is often regarded as his masterpiece,[4] and has been hailed as “the kind of literate, darkly funny and breathtakingly prescient material that prompts many to claim it as the greatest screenplay of the 20th century.”[5]

wvParticipantMcGruden.
w
v
wvParticipanti understand why they did what they did.
but i would have preferred that mcvay stuck with goff and seen where it could have gone.
.===========
George Allen would have made the trade.

wvParticipantNot sure Ellard takes a back seat to Torry or Ike.
I dunno.
wvParticipant28 WRs rank above Woods and Kupp?
Interesting.
w
v
wvParticipantThey’re 100% gonna have a plan.
—-
if he can be what tavon was supposed to be, i’ll be happy.==========
Its a bold plan. 160 pounds.
Never been done before, successfully, as far as i know.w
v
wvParticipant69RamFan
By moving Corbett to center and with Evans at RG….
Our OL just got bigger and physically stronger
Corbett is our smallest starting O-Lineman at 6-4, 306lbs and every one else is 6-5 and over 310lbs
To add in our OL bench players,,,, they are all over 310lbs with the exception of Allen (and I don’t believe he will make the 53 man squad, but if he does, I’ll be really surprised)
————–
I wonder if McVay wanted a bigger line
or if it just turned out that way.w
v
wvParticipantBears, Bucs, 49ers, Titans, Giants, Ravens — some seriously ‘physical’ teams
on the horizon.Would be nice if McV could figure out how to win a game
against Shannahan.w
v
wvParticipantMcVay seems to think of Stafford as more of a’clutch problem solver’ than Goff.
Progressions, recognizing coverages. Things Longtime-Veterans know.I guess this is the Oline, right?
Whitworth/Noteboom,
Edwards(5th round 2019)
Corbett (33rd pick Browns)
Evans (3rd rd, 2019)
Havenstein (2nd rd, 2015)I’m worried about the Ends, more than the middle.
Hav is tough and all, but the real-good-DEs seem to outplay him too much.
And Whitworth/Noteboom…I guess thats not bad, but…w
v
wvParticipantI don’t believe not picking an oline prospect hurt then this year as the Rams have some decent depth.
—
I’m skeptical. “Decent depth” is…decent.
But is this Oline good enough to stand up to a run of Playoff defenses?
Havenstein? The 40 year-old LT ?I know, they know a lot more than i do, but…I’m skeptical.
It would not surprise me to see that tiny-tutu make some
big plays early in the year, and the OLine look good early in the year,
but its a long season. And I have a feeling they are gonna be
scrambling for Oline help.w
v
wvParticipant155 lbs. Sigh.
I assume, Martz…i mean, McVay, thinks he can devise a plan
that will somehow protect the Tutu.
That he can somehow scheme him into safety. That is highly highly unlikely.
The way to win is to let Stafford be Stafford. That is your
superstar. Dammit they should have drafted a solid OLineman.Surely they could have dredged up some speed-demon track star
for a gadget-project in the 7th round.w
v
wvParticipantI havent liked a Packer QB since Bart Starr.
w
v
wvParticipantFrom OURLADS
… but if he is paired with a successful deep passer and there are other complementary weapons around him, he is the kind of playmaker that can bring an offense to another level….===========
Obviously, this is the hope.
They are gambling, they can build an OLine
without a premium OL pick.We shall see.
w
vMay 2, 2021 at 10:02 am in reply to: how do you “grade” this draft? or just…what do you make of this draft #129548
wvParticipantWell, of course, no-one knows, but the first pick was astonishing.
155 Lbs. Just astonishing.First thing i thought of was this:
————-
LA Times: “…The Rams’ success the last few seasons apparently made an impression on the Detroit Lions.Ten days after the Lions hired former Rams college scouting director Brad Holmes as general manager, Holmes will hire Ray Agnew as assistant general manager, a person with knowledge of the situation said.
Agnew has been the Rams’ director of pro scouting the last four years….”
————
wvParticipantTavon was about 180, btw.
w
v
wvParticipantI’m in shock.
I dont wanna over-react, and who knows the future,
but this just smacks of arrogance to me.
Like McV thinks he can create all these big plays with this guy.But how many 155 lb players have made a difference
in the NFL?The vast weight of history is against
this.WTF.
w
v
wvParticipantI like the Lions’ pick. An OT.
4 pass-catchers in the top ten.

as far as merchandise sales. This whole organization needs to be blown up.
