    Lawrence mcCutcheon would work.

I’d like to see Cappelletti in this offense. Heck, Wendell Tyler would be good to have on the team right now.

    ===========

Wendell Tyler? He would bust the cap.

    A steady, workhorse. Les Josephson.
    Or Elvis Peacock.

Well, I think the Rams will be ok, until Henderson
    goes down.

I was impressed with Henderson last year.
But he aint gonna be a workhorse back.

I sure hope they can pick up a veteran back
at some point before the season.
I want a vet whos been ther-I dunno if one is out there.

Cullen Bryant, maybe. Willie Ellison. Cleveland Gary, perhaps.

I would not want Gurley, though,
not that they are ever gonna consider him.

I think it’s important to pin down the lies they think they recognize. What exactly do they think they’ve been told that isn’t true? Are they the same lies we see? .

    =================

Its a duopoly, right? Two corporate-capitalist parties.

The Rightwingers see the Lies from the Duplicats (CNN, MSNBC, NPR etc)

Do you think only half of the duopoly is doing the lying?

I don’t agree with this idea that the Trump world sees the corruption and systemic problems we see and objects to them.

I think they are racists who believe the establishment sold them out for “PC values.”

In fact I think the entire “they see the real issues too” take on things is completely off track. They don’t see it at all.

    ====

Well, there’s definitely various shades of Racists on the Right.

I would agree that there is a faction of confederate-flag-loving
flat-out-neo-nazi trumpies. I dunno how big that one is though.
I have no idea. But its definitely part of the Rightwing-pie.

Then there’s the rightwing “I’m color-blind” type racists
who dont know they are racists, and who cant figure out
systemic racism. They make up a big slice of the rightwing-pie.

This-or-that form of racism may be the biggest single dynamic
in the Rightwing-brain. I’m not sure.

But the racism is just part of the kaleidoscope. It meshes
and morphs with other notions. And one of those other notions
is reflected in that article — a dawning-recognition by rightoids
    that Hillary/Obama/Biden/MSNBC/NPR/PBS/CNN/CBS/ABC/NBC/CIA — LIE
to them constantly. They recognize it. They are being lied to.
They figured it out. And they vote accordingly.

Now, of course they FAILED to figure out that things are actually
MUCH worse than even they know. Because they failed to figure
out that FOX and Talk Radio, etc is lying to them too.

That makes them batshit-fascist-dangerous. 70 million of em.

Well, we could all go down that article line by line, paragraph by paragraph
    and tear apart the statements.

But I’m not up for that, myself.

Leaving aside all the garbage in the piece, I think there are some
basic truths he’s getting at. I take his main point to be, simply,
that many Rightoids are completely disillusioned by the Government
and the Dem-Media. They have finally figured out that there is a
WHOLE LOT OF LYING goin on. They no longer live in their fantasy
    Norman Rockwell America.

They have figured out ‘just enough’ about America
    to be batshit-dangerous.

    And none of it matters.

    Cause Environmental Collapse and Fascism
    is on its way.

    Have a nice day.

“I use that word — “express themselves” — because I mean it. It’s a partnership. That’s why I love the NFL. You have to make sure that that guy has a big voice in how you do things, because he can help you. He can see a lot of things that are happening out there that can really help you. You can say, “Hey, we can do this one of two ways.” And then he makes the way that he wants work…”
    ——

I have always thought this is the best approach, with star/talented players.
It requires some wisdom from the coach to pull it off, though.

If Paulo Freire was a football coach, this is the approach he would use.

Dak Prescott is the no.6 QB in the NFL?
    Dunno about that.

    Richard Sherman. Sigh.
Was rooting for him because of his candor
    and support for BLM, etc.
I’ll be curious to see what this incident is all about.

    First off, the pants matter.
I dunno what the pants look like.

Second off, they are not what Roman, Snow, Deacon and Merlin wore,
    and therefore, they suck.

Hey dub vee, what happened to all your Russia-based news and commentary stuff? Is that a shift in how you view it or did the interest thread just run out?

    Curious.

I dont think my views on Russia and Russia-gate have changed any.
I still agree with Noam, Blumenthal, Aaron Mate, etc on
    Russia-gate.

I still think the latest version of the cold-war against
Russia and China is utter bullshit.

USA – biggest gangster. Russia smaller gangster.
China – gangster, but probly the best of the three.

Well, I think PFF has over-rated Havenstein
    and under-rated Ramsey.

There was no better CB in the NFL last year
than Ramsey. He went up against some
    awesome WRs.

One of my favorite scenes in any film.

    Written by Paddy Chayefsky

“..His screenplay for Network is often regarded as his masterpiece,[4] and has been hailed as “the kind of literate, darkly funny and breathtakingly prescient material that prompts many to claim it as the greatest screenplay of the 20th century.”[5]

By moving Corbett to center and with Evans at RG….

Our OL just got bigger and physically stronger

Corbett is our smallest starting O-Lineman at 6-4, 306lbs and every one else is 6-5 and over 310lbs

To add in our OL bench players,,,, they are all over 310lbs with the exception of Allen (and I don’t believe he will make the 53 man squad, but if he does, I’ll be really surprised)

    ————–

I wonder if McVay wanted a bigger line
or if it just turned out that way.
