I love the connection tween stafford and kupp. Its a rare thing. As long as stafford is playing, i would never trade kupp. They are more like one thing to me: stafford-kupp. Not time for a complete overhaul, imho. Try and draft well, and see what the Oline really is, and reassess after this season. w v

Sure looks like they are going to try very hard to run it back in 2024. At present, they have – what? – $58 million is space? That’s a lot. A whole lot.

That buys you some pieces, right there.

My personal peak for NFL helmets is 1987. The helmet changes after this season and into the mid/late 90s were all a downgrade imo. Chargers (88), Falcons, Jets (90), Patriots (93), 49ers, Eagles (96), Bucs, Broncos, Dolphins (97) and Titans (99).

I think they are more likely to get high-end production out of Kupp for the next 3 or 4 seasons than they would from #25 draft pick guy.

Yeah, I’m referring to the Twitter files.

I don’t really know much about it because I don’t really care, but it doesn’t look good for Taibbi.

My thing on the “doom” is that leftists just can’t get any traction anywhere in the machine. Elect someone, and they are brought to heel almost immediately. Get a platform in the media, some right wing carnivore buys the platform, and moves it to the right. Get an individual voice in the media, and they get paid to compromise on this one tiny issue, and their soul is for sale. Nobody wants to follow Assange or Donzinger.

Meanwhile, Twitter is always abuzz with wars over Dore, Taibbi, Cenk, Daou, Ritter, you name it.

My thing is always, “I don’t demand a purity test. These people aren’t my messiah. When I agree with them, I agree with them, and when I don’t, I don’t.” But it appears many people on the left get all “brand loyal” to various talking heads, and then we get civil wars.

That’s where the “doom” comes from.

We can’t get traction in the gov’t or in the media. We’re screwed.

No limitations for Matthew Stafford this offseason

Dunno. In that photo, it looks like he’s looking at his target. I guess it’s still early in the off-season, but that’s a troubling sign.

The Rams may be just clearing enough cap space to sign Chris Massey.

Rex Chapman@RexChapman An Alabama youth girls’ basketball team that was told they would lose their practice facility unless they agreed to play in a boys’ league went on to win the whole thing — and yet was denied the championship trophy. Instead, the trophies were given to the boys who, to be clear were beaten by the girls in the league final.” End.

I read somewhere, btw, that the girls team was not awarded the trophy – not because they were girls – but because they were not in the same league or conference or whatever. They were an elite team playing in a league of scrubs or sumthin’. I don’t know why they were admitted in the first place, and it seems like if they were admitted, they should be eligible -cuz what’s the point, otherwise? – but I dunno.

i think this is all being done in preparation for 2024. and if stafford was even just five years younger i’d be cool with it. but who knows how stafford looks in 2024. or maybe they have a plan there too. after thinking about it i’m not sure what more they could have done. ramsey held all the cards on this one. and more power to him by the way. i’ll always. almost always. side with the player. if he wasn’t willing to budge on his demands and the rams were set on getting rid of him what more could they have really got for him? if they try to get rid of him next year how does that impact the cap. does it just further delay the inevitable and waste another year of stafford? i don’t know. but it sure seems like they are conceding 2023. with hopes that they can be competitive in 2024. only problem is how good stafford will be in 2024.

Yeah, it looks like 2023 is over before it starts. But they are reloading for 2024.

I don’t understand it, but I am also aware that Snead and McVay know more about the football situation and the cap than I do. And they recently delivered a Lombardi. So I will just sit here hoping they are right.

I just don’t understand giving up on a team so quickly after winning the SB. According to reports, they weren’t even optimistic about last year even before the injuries ensured an awful season. On paper, though, the roster looked pretty much the same minus Von Miller and OBJ. The “general” roster strength besides the Stars seemed more-or-less the same to me, and replacing those guys didn’t seem impossible, even if some ground was lost there in overall quality.

But trading Ramsey finishes the team off, in my eyes. The CB situation is now looking “JV with upside.” And they still haven’t replaced Miller and OBJ.
