wvParticipantI cant help think of what people like her what have said if Martin Luther King had killed himself. You know the story — Hoover and his FBI yes-men wanted King-the-Commie off the National stage, so they tried to blackmail him into committing ‘suicide.’
If he had killed himself, so many people would have said, “nothing to see here, just a suicide. Its the simplest explanation.”
Sometimes I get-ta-thinkin that some folks are so fed up with the never-ending, distracting, stupid-wacko-conspiracies, that they forget that there ARE plenty of real-conspiracies out there in human-being-land.
Again, my mantra — its hard to know who/what to trust anymore.
Can we trust that there will be a complete, thorough ‘investigation’ of this? Well how will we know if a thorough investigation will be undertaken? How would we ever know? It kinda comes down to how much you trust the institutions of America nowadays.
And again, i have no idea what happened.

wvParticipant“…Could these same conspirators have ordered Epstein’s death and now be covering it up by claiming it’s suicide? It’s certainly not impossible… Could someone have ordered all these things in order to either create conditions for Epstein to die by suicide or perhaps even to set up a situation where an assassin could have murdered him? As I said earlier, it’s not impossible.
But, it is unlikely…”
————–My take is different. I think she’s minimizing the ‘possibility’ quotient. Murder in this case is more than just “not impossible” in my view. And i dont think murder is “unlikely.” My own view is, its a completely open question. Just as likely that he was murdered (or coerced) as it is that he simply killed himself.
So for me its just an open question.
I doubt if the mystery is ever resolved.
w

wvParticipantSo i see Trump is linking Hillary to the death of Epstein.

wvParticipantWell, yeah, Monsanto is Monsanto. I wouldn’t be surprised if they used underhanded tactics to discredit Gilliam’s book. That fusion center stuff is ridiculous though. The internal emails just show that Monsanto decided to ignore Gilliam and Paul Thacker.
https://baumhedlundlaw.com/pdf/monsanto-documents-2/MONGLY12158226.pdf
On the other hand, Gilliam isn’t a journalist. She’s an anti-GMO activist employed by US Right to Know. Their biggest contributor is the Organic Consumers Association, which, along with funding anti-GMO activities, also promotes anti-vaxx propaganda. They and Dr Andrew Wakefield were responsible for the largest measles outbreak in Minnesota in 30 years in 2017. They targeted the Somalia-American community there because they were the most vulnerable to anti-vaxx propaganda.
The EPA is about to say that California can’t issue carcinogenic warning labels for Roundup under Prop 65. California’s own regulatory committee reviewed the research and found it to be non-carcinogenic, but was trying to label it based on the IARC report. Four scientists on the IARC panel have gotten rich in lawsuits against Bayer/Monsanto. So, like Monsanto, when faced with bad news, the Organic industry/USRTK is flooding the internet with negative PR about their enemy, such as the interview above. I’m not saying Monsanto didn’t do what Gilliam says they did, but the Organic Industry uses the same tactics. They secretly pay academics to say what they want them to say, just like they accuse Monsanto of doing. USRTK paid someone $134000 in 2018 but Ruskin refuses to disclose who it was. They accuse scientists working in biotech of being shills, smear their reputations, dox them, etc. etc.

Well, I dont even know what being a “journalist” means in the context of a late-stage-Corporotacracy. What is a ‘journalist’? Someone who writes for the NYTimes? Wall Street Journal? NPR? Is Julian Assange a ‘journalist’? Yes? No?
As per usual, I am left in a state of I-dunno-ville. So I cant say the monsanto-critic-lady is “not a journalist.” Coz i dont even know what the word means anymore.
At any rate, i posted that vid before i watched all of it. Always a no-no. After i watched it, i regretted posting it. There wasnt much there.
But still I’m WAY ahead of the rest of you on points. Because I posted the article on Nuns having Slaves.
Nuns had Slaves. I walk around thinking about that all day long. Nuns had slaves. Its just…so…perfect. A perfect summary of human-kind.w

wvParticipantBetty.
Thats all I’m sayin.

wvParticipantWell first off there’s this, about the author: “…some of his coastal litter surveys have been funded in part by PlasticsSA.”
Doesn’t mean his writing is influenced by Big-Plastic, and it doesnt mean he’s wrong, but…this is why I live in a world of constant-skepticism. In a Corporotacracy, Who should i trust?
At any rate, there’s this:
“…Contrary to a great deal of media coverage which has placed plastic as environmental public enemy number one, I would argue that it’s not in the same league as the climate crisis, consumerism and human population growth which, collectively, threaten the biosphere…”
Its just not very re-assuring to think that the Plastic-Crisis isnt quite as bad as all them other Crises,
that collectively make up “The Situation.”Ya know. 🙂
I drink coffee a lot of mornings, out of a disposable corporate plastic cup. I know I am going to the fifth level of Hell for this.

wvParticipantHow does this happen? He was on suicide watch.
I’m not going to rush to invoke a conspiracy, but that’s some high level indifference and/or incompetence by the correctional facility.

Yeah, every person in wv I’ve talked to has called it murder. Nobody i know is buyin the suicide thing.
I have no idea, myself. In WV there’s always cameras in the jails.

We should sue anyway. Just on the principle.

wvParticipant…just an aside, fwiw — Harper’s January 1992, Vol 284, #1700, has a Lewis Lapham essay titled “Who and What is American.” I happened to read the essay the other day in an anthology book called “Changing Community” (graywolf annual ten).
Zn always points out there is resistance. Always, there is resistance. To the nightmare. And he’s right to point it out. Its always there.
My ‘own’ dark thing though, is, the resistance is indeed there, and it has actually grown, i think. Thanks to the internet. But…the other side has grown MORE. And i think we are past the tipping point. I dont think its possible to turn things around. Just my opinion.
And yes, i still think it makes sense to ‘bash on relentlessly…regardless.’
I’ve been thinkin some about the shooting thing. I dont think its all that complicated. But it is multi-layered. Several factors.
1) Guns. Americans have a long history of gun-love for both logical and fear-based reasons. So, there’s all that access to all those various kinds of guns. Duh.
2) Racism. America has that deadly history of Capitalist constructed-Racism. Modern-Corporate-Capitalism no longer ‘needs’ racism or slaves, but racism was constructed long ago and now its difficult to un-construct it. The Racism has all those nefarious and subtle and not so subtle effects. It contributes to white privilege, and inequality which contributes to all kinds of resentment, anger, stress, anxiety, etc. All kinds of domino effects. Racism leads to young people joining the Nationalist hate brigades, etc etc etc.
3) Corporate-Capitalism (CC). CC leads to millions and millions and millions of poor people and people without health care and people stressed out and fearful. Opioids, “mental health” issues, depression, loneliness, anxiety, lack-of-meaning, consumerism.
It also leads to escapism, Nationalism, jingoism, and various kinds of infantilism(religion), infantilism(emotional-stunting) etc etc etc.
Corporate-Capitalism leads to Imperialism which requires a War Machine, and a CIA, and an NSA and Weapons Manufacturers, etc. That leads to a lot of Americans getting a lot of training with guns, and PTSD experiences, and depleted Uranium experiences, and disillusionment experiences etc, etc, etc.
CC leads to a Fake-News-Media. Which then leads to citizens inundated with jingoistic Propaganda. The Media/Elite creates ‘enemies’. (Commies, Muslims, Immigrants, Russians, whatever) CC creates a toxic, toxic, toxic mix of conditions. Too many to list.I could go on about the effect CC has on Media, Education, but the bottom line is,
Corporate-Capitalism is a virulent, toxic, poisonous over-arching system, that mixes with
Systemic, constructed-Racism, coupled with
Red White and Blue Gun-topia.Themz the three factors that account for the bloody chickens coming home to roost, I would think.
But what do i know.
w

wvParticipantI think was in all four parts of that square in my 20’s, as I changed. Been a libertarian, then a William-Buckley-Rep, then I was a Hubert-Humphrey-Dem, then I was a McGovern-Dem….then I was a mix of Malcolm-X and Buckminster Fuller…after that i sat in a lotus position for a while and watched Billy Jack movies.
Then of course I came here, and became a Disciple of Nittany and a science-hater.
Basically, staying in the realm of whats do-able, I’d like to see America be a nation of a gazillion SMALL businesses. I dont mind SMALL-capitalism, if thats what ya wanna call it. I’d like to see all the big stuff socialized. Energy, Transportation, education, health-care, environment-care. I’d like to see corporate-personhood destroyed.
Politics should not be about money, so take all the money out of it. Government should fun all candidates who get a certain number of signatures or somethin like that. Also, abolish the CIA, or at the very least make it much much more transparent. And the mega-pentagon-NSA-CIA-Weapons-Corporations-Murder-Machine would have to be dismantled. And Pie for everyone……oh wait…I’ve gone off into whats not do-able. Nevermind.
w
v
wvParticipantI dunno. I guess I’m not surprised by a Dem voting for, or against, that kind of bill. I mean if I’m not mistaken that bill contained things like Opioid Treatment Centers and such. So do you vote against helping folks with Opioid addiction? I dunno.
Once a person is part of the Corporotacracy I dont think there is any way to be…..pure. Or consistent.
w
v
wvParticipantI dont subscribe, but what article are you looking for?
w
v
wvParticipantI plan on reading it.
wvParticipantI happened to be in front of a tv set today, and i flipped around between MSNBC-fake-newz and Fox-fake-Newz.
Wealthy MSNBC celebrity-newz-talkers blamed Trump and Guns.
Wealthy Fox celebrity newz-talkers blamed VIDEO GAMES and the LACK OF TEN COMMANDMENTS in the Schools.I also caught Trumps speech. I thought he hit it out of the park. Now, I loathe him as much as anyone. (Heck I have loathed him since the 80s when i read about him in SPY magazine) But as far as speeches go, he sounded wooden as he was reading the teleprompter and it was obvious he was reading someone else’s words — but he said what he needed to say to the undecided voters.
At any rate, I imagine we’ll see more money spent on security in the mega-corps places like Walmart. And we’ll see more and more people shopping from home, or calling in their orders and just picking them up.
And of course we’ll see more gun sales,
as brain-dead amerikans adjust their lives to the new-normal.Carry on,
