Sean McVay still speaks longingly about Sammy Watkins. His numbers didn’t jump off the page, but McVay valued his separation skills and what that created for his offense. It’s obvious why he would seem giddy about the potential of Odell Beckham Jr.

Ndamukong Suh averaged 58 pressures and 532 pass-rush snaps per season from 2014 to 2016. But he generated only 43 pressures in 495 pass-rush snaps in 2017, according to Pro Football Focus. He should get more pass-rush snaps this year, and his pressures should pick up again with fewer double teams. That’s the Rams’ hope, at least.

McVay, in Orlando, expressed confidence that Suh had learned and grown from previous on-field issues, and said he wasn’t concerned about adding big personalities on defense. “I think the defensive coordinator has more swag than all of them, so we’ll be in good shape.”

McVay, to reporters in Orlando, on the hypothetical of adding another star player (Odell) to his offense: “As long as we have enough snaps per game, I think we can keep everybody happy, if that’s the case.”

Yes, work to be done at LB (through the Draft, presumably).

However, if goal of the offseason was to improve run defense, the @RamsNFL now have the 2nd (Suh), 10th (Brockers), and 12th (Donald) graded interior defenders against the run from 2017, per @PFF.
