McVay on Ndamukong Suh: “It’s an exciting player to add to our front. Really, his resume speaks for itself. When you couple him with some of the other players we have up front, some of the players we’ve acquired this offseason, we feel like we’re adding pieces to get better.”

1. Couple things on #Rams relative to Wade Phillips and where they are at OLB/ILB
2. #Rams addressed need at CB – Peters/Talib – & front line with Suh. They like OLB Samson Ebukam. There are options opposite him in draft.
If the #Rams don’t trade their 1st round pick for @OBJ_3, they’ll have options to choose from at OLB: Harold Landry, Arden Key, Sam Hubbard, Lorenzo Carter.

You might have to refer back to names like “Fearsome Foursome” and “Purple People Eaters” and “Steel Curtain” to find suitable DL comps for the Rams. Across sports, pairing Suh with Donald seems similar to DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis, or Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge.
Moving forward, it doesn’t seem as if the Rams have much, if at all, to spend on other players, especially considering they have to earmark some of their cap space for Aaron Donald’s potential extension. Their remaining hole is at linebacker, and it’s safe to say they’d love to get a good one with their No. 23 pick. That’s potentially one spot, and ILB Mark Barron takes up another. Then there’s Samson Ebukam, Cory Littleton and Ramik Wilson, who the Rams are hoping step up. Then maybe Connor Barwin, whom the team had previously expressed interest in re-signing.

The NFC is going to be insane next season. The Rams, Vikings, and Eagles all have elite defenses. How teams plan to score on any of those three is lost on me.
