znModeratorAside from running more 12 personnel, the Rams did this quite a bit on Sunday.
The lined Joseph Noteboom next to Rob Havenstein to block. Saw it in both the pass and run game. This was very new. Instead of leaving an extra TE like Blanton to block, it was Noteboom. pic.twitter.com/82xQxbc2ML

znModeratorVan Jefferson calls Robert Woods before every game to go over film.
When he hit a mental low, it was Odell Beckham who lifted him up.
He’s taking detailed notes on Cooper Kupp.Jefferson is trying to fill a void in Rams’ offense. But he’s also a student: https://t.co/UnoNYtGwRJ

znModerator. @brandincooks exploded for 159 yards in the home opener against Arizona in 2018. I was live at this game, he was a beacon of energy! The offense was on fire that day under the hot LA sun pic.twitter.com/nK1BmVgBzP

I’m so dumb, it’s only Monday and I’m starting to convince myself we can beat the Cardinals.Someone please stop me, this isn’t good for my mental health.

Andrew Whitworth reached out to Jared Goff yesterday and congratulated him on winning for the Lions. Whitworth told Goff about the big cheer he got from the SoFi crowd watching the highlights on the video board.Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue
Per Sean McVay, Brian Allen sprained his MCL and is day-to-day. He is not ruled out this week but will be limited in practice to start the week.Sean McVay did not want to commit to Sony Michel moving into a traditional lead-back role, BUT added that the type of downhill physicality the Rams utilized behind Michel and some of those blocking concepts is something he believes they’ll need down the back stretch. Personal
opinion is that what he’d REALLY like to do is utilize more two-back personnel sets between Michel and Henderson, who has really been a positive in the passing game.
znModeratorThe number of times the Rams had 6+ OL on the field per @PFF:
Weeks 1-12: 1 play (29th)
Week 13: 16 plays (1st)It's so strange how they can just 180 in a week's time.

znModeratorThat’s a good contribution, posting that.
znModeratorRams quarterback Matthew Stafford recaptured his early-season form in a rout of Jaguars. Can he maintain it through last five games?https://t.co/36eWthZyQb

For the first time in four games, the Rams played with a lead instead of from a hole that Stafford dug with turnovers, writes @LATimesklein : https://t.co/80PGAoWPEN

znModeratorHell of a comeback for Jared vs Vikings…
Game winning TD was a throw on 4th and 2 with 0.02 left on the clock.

Rams 0-for-4 on third down. Again, things you can get away with against the Jaguars, but the third down offense over the last month have been near the bottom of the league.Doesn’t help when Shelton gets beat on 3rd-and-1.
Wagnum P.I.@Wags_Official
Another ball behind a receiver. Same issue last week. Plus the high balls. I have to believe Stafford is more injured than anyone lets on. Just didn’t see the missed weeks 1-6.jonah@j_nametag
Michel isn’t the running back who is going to bust open a huge run, but he runs hard and gives you manageable 2nd and 3rd downs.Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue
Something Matthew Stafford pointed out with a chuckle about the challenge of changing centers in-game: Brian Allen snaps right-handed; Coleman Shelton snaps left-handed.
znModeratorSony Michel served as the lead back for the #Rams in their 37-7 victory over the Jaguars, playing 64 of 66 snaps (97% playtime).
Michel faced a stacked box (8+ defenders) on half of his 24 carries, gaining 54 yards on those carries (+13 RYOE).#JAXvsLAR | #RamsHouse pic.twitter.com/OmEUFEAU8e

znModeratormcvay talks about the last few games – the turnovers, the 3 pick-6, and the bad guys holding the ball a long time, which hurt the rams.
but he doesn't mention that the rams had 33 drives to work with and only scored 5 tds, punted 12 times and failed on four 4th down tries. pic.twitter.com/95BwYD1UB1

znModeratorhow offenses have fared against the jags this season and how the jags have fared against defenses.
jax's d has actually shown up in a lot of games, and held buf and ind to just 6 and 17 offensive points – the jags o has been horrible, they've scored more than 21 just once. pic.twitter.com/YDf5lllx5z

znModeratorI was looking forward to a nice discussion of Hawkeye.
Once again, I am a broken and disppointed man.
😎

znModeratorI liked it better when everybody thought the Rams were the best team in the NFL.
Turns out, though, they have to prove they can beat winning teams.
That’s what the radical new types of statistical analysis are saying these days.
znModeratorThe Rams' OL ranks under Kevin Carberry this season per @PFF:
130 pressures allowed (3rd-fewest)
19 sacks (3rd-fewest)
3.9% sack percentage (5th-lowest)
23.2% pressure percentage (2nd-lowest)I can't believe there are actually fans still talking about Aaron Kromer.

znModeratorThe Rams last met the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017, where Pharoh Cooper @KingTutt_chdown started off the game with a 103 yard kickoff return for a touchdown! The Rams have not had a special teams return for a touchdown ever since pic.twitter.com/ms4TyicWHw

znModeratorI moved this from another thread where it was starting to take up “digression space.”
znModeratorSurprisingly, it’s not a big national game.
znModerator2 wks to prepare for the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year, and the rams started the game with 2 drives that included stafford falling twice during handoffs, with him completing 1 of 3 for 4 yds, and with him getting strip-sacked – how is this possible? pic.twitter.com/J241UmgIX2

znModeratorA darkly humorous moment from the Marvel series “Hawkeye.” You have to know the Marvel films to get the joke. This is Hawkeye at a urinal in New York.
***

znModeratorThe Rams’ slump isn’t just a Matt Stafford issue. In my latest for the @ringer, I look at how defenses have adjusted to the new-look offense and why Sean McVay’s typical issues in the second half of seasons remains a problem despite a clear upgrade at QB. https://t.co/qQp9DIBahW
