A win tonight would be the greatest regular season win in the McVay era given the circumstances

And before people say KC MNF, it was a fairly evenly matched game going in. This game has all the odds stacked against us

Rams’ TE Tyler Higbee had a positive test followed by two negative tests, per source. If his PCR test overnight comes back negative, then he will come off the Reseeve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, per source. So even though it could be a false positive, Higbee is out tonight.

Brady and Montana! Though Montana could run a bit.

What can you say about Brady?

    He’s no Stafford though.

I took my elderly mom (we’re both fully vaxxed/boosted) to the ER on Thursday for a possible stroke. They did tests and sent her home because there wasn’t an open hospital bed in a 300 MILE RADIUS. I’m still fucking furious.

O’Connell: “I think that’s huge for our team, because we feel so great about Brian (Allen), and we have anticipated if Coleman got in there, he would do what he did, but to actually see it happen – (a) big, athletic, strong front gives us a lot of confidence moving forward.”

I liked the introduction of the new Black Widow from the movie, and, before that, Kate’s attempt to help Hawkeye have a decent holiday time away from his family. Obviously, quite the contrast. But it worked for me. Knowing why BW wants to kill Hawkeye is key.

    Some more details.

I think Vera Farmiga, who plays Kate’s mother (Eleanor) is a tremendous actress.

Notice that in one scene in Kate’s aunt’s apartment, Clint is drinking from a coffee cup which says “Thanos was right” on it.

The woman who plays Maya aka Echo is Alaqua Cox. The character Maya is of course a Native American and deaf, so she signs prolifically. Well Alaqua Cox is actually a deaf Native American. “Hawkeye” is her first acting gig ever. What a find she is, she totally steals the camera when she’s in a scene. Clip below.

It is interesting that the blonde Black Widow, Yelena, seems to know who Kate is and spares her. She even non-verbally communicates with her. So Yelena appears to know who Kate is and we don’t know yet, of course, how or why that is. Clip below.

A lot has changed since the Rams last played the Cardinals.

Rams have gotten Von Miller and OBJ since, but lost Robert Woods and others.

Cardinals could be without Chase Edmonds who had 12 carries for 120 yards in Week 4. James Connor only averaged 2.8 YPC.

    Cameron DaSilva@camdasilva
Sean McVay spoke highly of Joe Noteboom on the Coach McVay Show this week, saying “You can’t tell me Joe Noteboom’s not one of our best 11 football players” when referring to the offensive shuffling on Sunday.

Noteboom will be a FA in March.

    NFL Stats@NFL_Stats
QBs with the most passes dropped this season:

    Patrick Mahomes – 30
    Justin Herbert – 28
    Matthew Stafford – 24
    Josh Allen – 21
    Jared Goff – 21
    Sam Darnold – 21
    Tom Brady – 20
    Trevor Lawrence – 20
    Carson Wentz – 19
    Ben Roethlisberger – 19
    Daniel Jones – 19

    Axel Kopun@FV_Mylia_Lynn
Context matters. Brady’s thrown 508 passes, Mahomes is 2nd with 478. Darnold only has 306. Looking at the percentage of pass attempts that were dropped gives a better indication of how much a QB is really suffering from dropped passes. When you do that the list looks like this:

    Darnold – 6.8%
    Mahomes – 6.2%
    Herbert – 5.9%
    Stafford – 5.4%
    Goff – 5.2%
    Jones – 5.2%
    Allen – 4.7%
    Lawrence – 4.6%
    Roethlisberger – 4.57%
    Wentz – 4.52%
    Brady – 3.9%

If we look at all QBs Brady probably ranks pretty near the bottom in passes dropped.

    do they HAVE two TEs?

They’ve been using Noteboom as a 6th lineman instead of 2 TEs.

Episode 4 unfortunately languished too much on minor things and had too many minor lapses.

But I do consider the series to be good overall.

Rams’ Greg Gaines ranks 5th in pass rush win rate at defensive tackle and 4th in run stop win rate at defensive tackle this season.

Also crazy: Aaron Donald’s pass rush win rate at defensive tackle is more than *double* Gaines’, despite Gaines ranking 5th in the category.

    Cameron DaSilva@camdasilva
Since Week 8, Gaines has 17 pressures, which ranks 11th among interior defenders and is only 3 fewer than Aaron Donald

    Rams Brothers@RamsBrothers
Losing SJD for the season in a contract year was legitimately gut wrenching. Having the void filled internally by a guy who clearly wants it is very fun to watch.

    Brent Lancaster@BrentRamcaster
    Greg Gaines – 4th rounder
    SJD – 6th rounder
    Jordan Fuller – 6th rounder
    Ernest Jones – 3rd rounder
    Tyler Higbee – 4th rounder
    Brian Allen – 4th rounder (#6 PFF!)
    David Edwards – 5th rounder
    Cooper Kupp – 3rd rounder

The Rams have shown they can hit on Day 2 and 3 of the draft.

On Sunday against the Jaguars, the Rams ran 74% of their plays from 11 personnel and 23% from 12 personnel.

That 23% in 12 personnel was their most since Week 5 (one week before Mundt’s injury).

    Rams Wire@TheRamsWire
If the Rams lose to the Cardinals in Week 14, they can all but rule out winning the NFC West.

    Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue
The Rams waived WR JJ Koski, who I believe can still return to their practice squad once clearing waivers. Would think this is in advance of either a Hollins activation or a spot for Powell, who showed promise in the return game last week (he can also continue to be elevated).
