    this game was an unmitigated flop for the rams – in the 20 macvay/shanahan matchups, this game is:

    • tied for fewest points scored
    • 3rd-worst point differential
    • 9th time allowing 27+ points
    • 3rd-lowest passer rating

    the good news (hopefully) is the rams get the giants at home next week

    Brock Purdy's average throw went 4.4 yards downfield for #49ers. The only game with a shorter ADOT in his career was 2.3 in 2022 NFC title game vs Eagles when he didn't have a functioning elbow. (Previous low in a healthy game was 4.5 vs Dolphins in Week 16 2024)

    Brock Purdy’s average throw went 4.4 yards downfield for #49ers.

    And Shula better find an answer to that because that’s what opposing QBs are going to do all season long.
