I am really wondering about this. This is the end of his 3rd year, and we should be much better record wise. If we lose on Sunday, we will be 6-10. That is a drop off, going 7-8-1, and 7-9 his first two years. I know he will get another year, but I have to believe if we do not make the playoffs nextyear, Fisher and his staff will be fired. It will be no excuses, even if Bradford gets injured again. Not sure what all of you think, but I am tired of hearing all the BS from Fisher, he needs to produce a winner. It will be year 4.

Your question was “Have the Rams improved in the last three years?”. The answer is yes. The overall roster today is much better than it was three years ago. It has not been shown in the win-lose totals mostly due to the quarterback situation and partly due to the division the Rams are in. Actually, it has been shown in their W-L record in that in the five years before Fisher the Rams won a total of 15 games. In the three years under Fisher they have won 20.5 games as of right now.

I do not know what it will take for Fisher to get a fifth year. I don’t think being in the playoffs is the criteria. What it will take is continued improvement. I would guess that 8-8 would do it. Almost for sure 10-6 would be enough even if that did not get the Rams into the playoffs. But what it really takes is for Kroenke to decide that it would be better for Fisher to stay than for him to leave.

Sure, they’ve improved slightly every year
    despite the static record.

They used to have lots of holes.
Now we are down to two —
    interior of the Oline,
    and QB.

    IF, Snisher can solve those
    two issues, they should get
to the ten-win range next year.
    (barring injuries, etc)

That will ‘still’ leave my own
    major question unanswered. I
know Fisher can turn them into “winners”.
I know he can get them into the playoffs.

But can he go all the way and win a Ring?
    I have my doubts.
    Granted, its a tough job.

How I see it: absolutely, of course they have improved, though sometimes it shows up in stumbling fits and starts. They’ve improved in spite of the fact that their starting qb has played only 23 of 47 games in the last 3 years, and in spite of the fact that they have had to play 15 different linemen in that stretch.

well. yes. i have to agree that they’ve improved. i guess the question should be have they improved enough?

i think his work has warranted another year. the only thing we can do is see how they play next year.

but if for whatever reason fisher is gone after next year. whoever is next in line? this will be a very hot position for coaches. i can see a lot of head coaching candidates salivating at the chance to coach this team.

something i don’t think could have been said when fisher took over.

My gut tells me, anything under 10 wins, next year, and we will be looking at a new Head Coach in 2016
