I haven’t watched them this year, but going into this season, I’m thinking, they’re a middling team at best, with the Cardinals being the only team they can beat in the Rams’ division. Judging from their start, my prediction was waaaay off.

So, after this point in the season, do you guys think they’re “for real”? Better than the Rams? Or is it all a mirage?

After a 3 and 2 start, this looks like a huge test. The Rams better bring that proverbial A game.

I watched part of their last game. They looked better than the Rams. I expect the Rams to play better, but we will see.

I think they’re for real. They haven’t played a good team yet but they pass the eye test.

Shanahan is a great coach. The only reasons they have lagged under him is (1) injuries, and (2) they had to start over as a team. The 49ers unlike the 2017 Rams started a rebuild. The 2017 Rams added to a substantial group of inherited players, which is not the same as a rebuild, and it set them up to get off to a faster start. 9ers are healthier now and 3 years in, so they are the real thing IMO. This game is a big test.

It is also true SF has not played anyone.

For real…..definitely. Talent everywhere. I’m worried about this game. Would be sweet to beat them though.

I think the Seahawks, Rams and 49ers are all purty close. And injury here, a bad bounce there is all that separates em, in my view. Whoever gets home-field will of course have an advantage.

I think a lot of us thot SF would be good ‘last’ year, but they had Fisher-level injuries. Lotta bad luck last year.

I dont see any juggernaut in the NFC. Just a lot of good teams. Coupla good teams wont make the playoffs.

That makes a lot of sense. It may have always been this way, but it seems like injuries are playing a bigger role in a team’s fate than they used to. Maybe it’s just me getting old and I’m noticing them more, cuz I usually feel like one of the walking wounded meself!

Anyway . . . yeah, bounces here and there, injuries, game of inches. Sheesh. Just Legatron’s kick Thursday is proof of that. This Sunday’s game would be entirely different if his kick had been a coupla inches to the left. It would be all about first place in the division, and I think the winner would have been pumped with “mo” to carry them a good ways forward.

Now, it’s basically a must-win for the Rams. At least if they don’t want to play that extra playoff game.

Should be a goodin’, as Walter Brennan used to say.

i’m worried about this game. a better oline and a full strength gurley would make me feel better.

    so… yeah.

We have to win this game. If we lose on Sunday, more than likely, the Division Title is virtually over.
