“When Richard Sherman makes a play, they call it smart,” Aqib Talib said. “When Marcus do it, they call it a calculated risk.”—

Well, the NFC West plays into the hands of the defending champs on the first Sunday of the NFL schedule. Only one thing left for the #LARams to do to complete an ideal Week One.A few things went almost perfectly for the 2017 @RamsNFL. Beginning tonight, curious to see if this 2018 group (which is undoubtedly more talented) can replicate them over the course of a 16-game schedule. Let’s review:

Jared Goff and Sean McVay are positioned as the next great #NFL QB/Coach tandem. And that will open a wide window of success for the #Rams. My story for @TheAthletic https://t.co/zgccA2extp

On NFL Live just now…Schefter said Rams were very serious about trading for Mack after Donald was signed and that they had a plan to pay him for this year and then trade him at end of the year to get the picks back. Would have been a hellava one year rental…can you imagine Donald, Mack, Suh and Brock on the same line???

As bleak as things looked for #Rams after stumbling their 1st season back in L.A., there was quiet confidence in organization they hit home runs with Jared Goff & Sean McVay. A year later the duo looks like the kind of tandem championships are built aroundTonight? I think as long as the O-line plays well: Explosive plays. Consistency. Efficiency. New wrinkles from last year. A lot of different players getting touches.

When I asked the Rams secondary about Marcus Peters, they universally noted that Peters doesn’t get enough credit for his intelligence.==

Spotted Sean McVay walking outside the hotel, some paperwork in hand. I presume he was exercising and not pacing for hours, but I wouldn’t guarantee it.==

.@Broncos @VonMiller is the ultimate game changer. It’s far more than talent, moves, or anything else. He knows the game and when it’s time to change the game. #BaldyBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/8zEMHD9DsJ

interesting. makes sense. rams could never afford the two most expensive contracts in nfl history for a defensive player. and then pay goff.
….
they should trade for von miller…………

Expanding on that.
Rams could have been facing former Raiders Khalil Mack tonight; instead, after they signed Aaron Donald, they offered Oakland 1st- and 3rd-round picks, which Raiders rejected.
Rams would have paid Mack, then traded him after this season because they couldn't afford him in 2019.

Tonight’s Monday Night Football game between Rams and Raiders will feature an in-game mic worn by Rams LT Andrew Whitworth. Should make for some insightful audio.==

An NFL team exec once told me that a hold out shouldn’t be antagonized because it’s personal to him but usually just business for the team. I had gotten intel that Jon Gruden didn’t like confrontation so we used that to help force a trade during a Bucs player holdout.September 11, 2018 at 2:11 am #90670ZooeyModeratorAh. So. Okay. Everybody knew that already. Fine.

i just wanna say that the in-game mic feature might be the worst thing i’ve ever seen. ok. that’s a bit extreme. but they are boring.
