    teamrankings.com, a very good stats site, allows you to rank teams according to how they did the last 3 games.

    Well, the defense has been sliding, and the rushing game is still stalled, and they lost 2 of the last 3, but the Rams offense has improved over the 1st 2 games.

    That’s provisional and nowhere near a sure, ongoing thing. But it IS worth noting. Improvement is improvement. Even though we expected the run to carry the offense for a defense-oriented team, turns out the Rams are in games because they can pass.

    No one would have guessed that.

    So although they come with a qualifier, here is how the Rams rank in various categorie over the last 3 games. In this metric, you actually compare the Rams last 3 to the last 3 of every other team.

    I contrast rankings from the last 3 games to SEASON rankings, which are of course tilted by the first 2 games.

    3rd Down Conversion Percentage
    Last 3: 6th

    Last 3: 11th
    Season: 23rd

    Completion Percentage
    Last 3: 4th
    Season: 20th

    Yards per Pass Attempt
    Last 3: 3rd
    Season: 14th

    Yards per Rushing Attempt
    Last 3: 31st
    Season: 31st
