    …

Alongside drafting Aaron Donald, trading for Jalen Ramsey, and renting Von Miller for half a season, Les Snead’s decision to acquire Trent McDuffie will go down as one of the best moves he’s ever made….

On Monday night, the former Kansas City superstar was right at home, recording his first interception with the franchise in their win over the New York Giants. McDuffie was spectacular, displaying the balance of strength and grace that allows him to shut down the NFL’s best playmakers.

The way he’s able to walk the fine line between physical and fundamental play without drawing repeated penalties is remarkable when we consider how sticky he is with receivers who can change direction quickly. McDuffie is an eliminator, and the rest of the secondary looked so much better because of it.

He’s caught as many passes (1) in coverage as he’s allowed to opposing players (1).

That is an acceptable ratio, I feel like, though I don’t know a lot about football.

    22.

Which btw is tied for 2nd among all NFL receivers.

So I say, why not trade him for a cornerback?

Donald called McDuffie “something special” during his press conference on Thursday, saying that while he doesn’t usually watch the defensive backs, he couldn’t help but watch McDuffie play.

“That guy’s good,” Donald said. “I told the guy I train with, I said, ‘Yeah, he’s a special talent.’ He made a lot of big plays. I usually don’t watch the DBs, but he caught my eye. He’s something special and we have to continue to play like that week in and week out. If we do that, we have a good chance to win with guys playing like that.”
