I wrote my answer down somewhere. It’s around here…it’s somewhere… ??
Oh well it will turn up. So I will answer later.
September 18, 2015 at 11:31 pm #30830PA RamParticipantYes.
IF Greg Robinson doesn’t get Foles killed.
My guess is that it will be a close game–low scoring and the Rams defense and special teams will be the difference. Rams will have better field position most of the day. But Washington will come to play and Morris will be a challenge as will a stingy Washington defense.
But at the end of the day the Rams win it by 7.
Rams: 20 Washington: 13
Anyone who made money off my Rams/Seahawks pick last week, feel free to bet heavily this week on my advice.

September 19, 2015 at 1:28 am #30833Eternal RamnationParticipantI’m thinking this game gets ugly for the Washington CEO’s early. I think the Rams shut down Morris and make Cousins beat us. TruJos playin and Jenks is Jenks and Mason and Gurley are possibilities . Their D’s good but I wouldn’t put them in the same zip code as the Seahags even without Chancellor. They were shutting out Miami till right before halftime . The Rams are healthy and have a shit ton of talent. That talent is all maturing together and it’s just bursting out. We go up early 14-0 they can’t run , punt and TAwsome runs one back. They abandon the run and the Rams Offense goes off. 37-19 Rams.
September 19, 2015 at 6:44 am #30835nittany ramModeratorI thought I heard on one of the interviews posted here that the last 10 teams to beat the Seahawks are 0-10 against the spread the following week and 1-9 straight up?
September 19, 2015 at 8:25 am #30836DakParticipantIf history is any indicator, the Rams probably have a letdown against a lesser opponent.
We’ll see if this Rams team is different. Has it made strides in maturity? This game should tell us something.
I would be very optimistic if this team didn’t have such a young O-line. I expect a close game that could go either way … but the Rams have more talent, and hopefully that talent makes the difference.

September 19, 2015 at 9:01 am #30839TrenchRamParticipantI think that the Rams shut down Morris and the running game. Cousins has some success dinking and dunking, but the Rams keep it in front of them, win the field position battle, and get a couple of key turnovers. I expect an OL letdown and tough days for both our RBs and Foles, but the Rams win 16-10.

Yes the Rams will win. However if these Rams are to be taken seriously this game must be won convincingly and the score must reflect it. I want to see competence on offense and Foles and WRs in sync. The defense must destroy the Redskins 3rd down efficiency and we must win the turnover battle. Speaking of turnovers is it possible to not have one? I hope so.

Hi, as you can see, I moved this. I suspect the server was acting up at that time you originally tried to post in this thread. And sorry about that. Either way, just fwiw, this thread wasn’t closed. We rarely close threads (like 3 times in the history of the board) and when we do, it’s entirely for issues having to do with conflicts and posting rules. That obviously doesn’t apply in this case. So not being able to post in this thread at first was just an accident of timing of some kind.

Thanks but just so you know it did say “comments are closed” and wouldn’t allow posting.

“Comments are closed” appears on all pages as you’re posting. It doesn’t mean the thread is closed…it means that the option to add “comments” in addition to posts (they’re different things) is not available. I can see “comments are closed” now, at the bottom of the page. When a thread is closed, you cannot even open a post box to try to post. (Here;s a closed thread to illustrate. It’s not a real closed thread, I just closed a dated one on the issues board to illustrate: http://theramshuddle.com/topic/who-knows-how-internet-tv-works-this-year/) I suspect the not posting was a short-lived thing where either the server twitched or RM was in the board fixing things. That is the board just froze for a sec.

September 19, 2015 at 11:22 am #30854ZooeyModeratorI am irrational when it comes to that fucking team, so any prediction I make about it just arises from blind hatred.
So…Rams 54-6.
September 19, 2015 at 5:51 pm #30870wvParticipantThe Rams have more talent on each unit,
as far as I can tell.It is a road-game and all, but the Rams finally
have a no.1 veteran QB. So that mitigates
the road-effect somewhat.Only the Rams can beat the Rams,
in this game.Lets hope they want it, real bad.

vSeptember 19, 2015 at 7:02 pm #30871nittany ramModeratorAs we get closer to game time my optimism wanes.
It’s not based on logic or anything tangible. Purely emotional.
I think it comes from seeing this scenario play out many times before.
Rams coming off a big win – should be able to handle an inferior opponent…

Most of those other games in the last two years
were Ram teams using a no.2 or no.3 QB,
and without the experience and talent they have this year.If the OLine just plays “ok” this should be a win.
But then, you know all that.

vSeptember 19, 2015 at 8:49 pm #30875InvaderRamModerator2 years ago the rams had a thrilling win over the arizona cardinals.
they dropped the next 3 games including game 2 against the atlanta falcons – a team that finished 4-12. a road game. with bradford. it also included a loss to the cowboys – a team that finished 8-8. also with bradford.
this team looks more talented than that 2013 team. still. i’m nervous. i need to see it. i need to see that this team is finally learning how to win.
September 19, 2015 at 11:55 pm #30901znModeratorWell we know they CAN.
I vote that they WILL.
I am betting on this being they year a young team gets over its week-to-week inconsistency disease.
One thing I saw that fuels that belief—remember the chippy Rams who would get distracted by their own edginess? There was barely a sign of that last Sunday. It was just focused football.

September 20, 2015 at 9:02 am #30908canadaramParticipantI do poorly at predicting such things.
However, if the Rams can contain Morris and Ryan Kerrigan then their chances are good. Last year Kerrigan feasted on Barksdale, I’m not sure that Havenstein can fair any better.
Of course, the drive killing penalties that often hurt young teams on the road must be avoided too. Turning the ball over three times like last week won’t help either. Also, I hope Greg The Leg has a better day today than he did last year at Fed Ex Field. Frankly recent experience with this team tells me not to count on anything when the Rams play in games like these.
Anyway, thats all I got. Captain Obvious type stuff, I know.

Very good point about the chippiness. And there was an appreciable lack of mind-numbingly stupid penalties too. Perhaps this team is finally growing up?

So much for that prediction.
I want the chippy Rams back.
