    DRAMA IN JACKSONVILLE

    Yannick Ngakoue@YannickNgakoue
Tired of the back and forth @Jaguars. Let’s get this shit done.

    Tony Khan@TonyKhan
Show me the compensation. I’m sure you’re really driving up the price today btw.

    Yannick Ngakoue@YannickNgakoue
Just trade me . I don’t need the speech 🏁

    Tony Khan@TonyKhan
It’s a new regime here sir. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the contributions you made here. That said, tweeting insults at me won’t get you traded any faster. Only good trade compensation will do that. Please redirect your efforts into a more productive outlet

    Yannick Ngakoue@YannickNgakoue
Since your feeling might today let’s both let the world in on the truth. We been had a discussion that the chargers game was my last game. Yet you try to back door the situation without answering any of my camps calls. Smh you spoiled bra.. holding up people for no reason 🤡

    stop hiding moe.

    Tony Khan@TonyKhan
I’m not in hiding sir, I’m in isolation getting ready for the draft. I’ve been pretty active on social media in isolation, but you wouldn’t know that since you unfollowed me (again).

U.S. Supreme Court refuses to hear request from Rams and NFL to have St. Louis lawsuit decided by arbitration, not in jury trial in court. It was last-ditch effort to prevent what really happened from being aired in public.

After keeping Brockers and signing Robinson, the Rams don’t *need* DL help. But it’s a position they could target to build for the future

Text from a GM during this mock draft “there are early communication issues because 32 of us GMs are on conference call and we didn’t hit mute. Sounds awful”

Does this surprise anyone? Absolutely not. Thursday will be a shit show. And we will love it

Too bad the Rams don’t look that good. Especially the helmets, Demoff.

I’ve regularly heard that the Rams are one of the more collaborative teams when it comes to roster decisions.

The Rams’ uniforms had been scheduled for a post-draft debut. I do not know the date.

Last offseason, Kupp wasn’t able to practice much with his Rams teammates due to ACL rehab.

While he wouldn’t choose to take that route again, his approach could prove informative for the Rams heading into a virtual offseason.

Rams have a future pass-catching need. Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds (+Gerald Everett) are all in the final year of their rookie contracts this season.

The Rams have a league-low 5 WRs currently on their roster heading into the draft after dealing Brandin Cooks.

#Rams have the NFL’s best defensive lineman AND (arguably) its best cornerback. When (if ever) was the last time we saw that?

The narrative out there seems to be how bad the Rams messed up and they are way behind. I don’t feel a big negative about the Rams.

Rams backup QB situation, Sean McVay said they’re always looking to upgrade, “but John Wolford is a guy that we’re very excited about. We feel like he is more than capable of continuing to ascend and develop.”

Does McVay think he could operate offense if need be? “Absolutely.”

I tend to think there’s going to be a trade that allows the Rams to acquire an extra pick, so that would make it easier to grab a running back.

I still think they should/will add a RB in the draft. The question is, how high

My understanding, based on a few interviews, is that you’re more likely to see a committee approach. So I wouldn’t plan on seeing any back in particular get, say, 18-20 carries a game, at least not at the start.

Jared Goff said he felt he was in the best shape he’s ever been in, because he doesn’t have much else to do except workout. If that’s a trend, then the Rams should be OK.

With all this talk of Miami trading up for an OT, it worked out pretty well for two teams in 1997. That was the year the Jets, not once but 2x traded back in the top 10. By moving up, the Rams got Orlando Pace at No. 1 and Seattle took Walter Jones 6th. Both are in the HOF.

There’s a lot to sift through here. The Rams have no first round pick because of the Jalen Ramsey deal (and no first and fourth next year). They also sent their fifth to Jacksonville in the trade for Dante Fowler Jr, but will get a comp third back for Fowler next year, so that gambit will work out for them, especially if new defensive coordinator Brandon Staley can help Leonard Floyd hit after he was Floyd’s position coach in Chicago. The Rams traded the fifth they got for Marcus Peters to get the Aqib Talib contract off of the books. On the positive side of things, they got pick 57 for Brandin Cooks (but will have to give Houston a fourth in 2022) and they got a comp third for letting Rodger Saffold walk to Tennessee in last year’s free agency period.

McVay: “We’ve got a nice opportunity to be patient on Thursday, and then Friday will be an exciting chance for us to get four picks off the board. But you know Les Snead. He’s a wheeler and dealer, you never know.”

Anyone care to guess: In what year will Sean McVay make an NFL first-round pick as a head coach for the first time?

You know, having covered the Rams at draft time for the last five years… I am *really* not used to having a lot of things to do at the top of the draft on Thursday night.

    I have a fairly negative Ram-view, I’d say.

They dont have an elite ballcarrier anymore, and the Oline is a mystery.

But mainly, what makes me negative has nothing to do with the Rams — its that the 49ers, Seahawks, and Cardinals all look playoff-caliber to me.

Well, Mr. Negative Guy, that all happened last year when they were still 9 – 7. I don’t like that they lost Littleton, but other than that I am OK with everything.
