I think the easiest propaganda lies to spread are the ones that tell people that other people are inferior to them.

Garappolo will be traded within the week,  I think, but nothing has leaked. I sure hope the 49ers screw it up.

Um, I think you forgot about the guy who coaches in New England…

Okay, fair enough, but it’s usually understood that people with demonic alliances don’t count in this kind of thing.

Miller is strongly hinting that he wants to go back to Denver.  Wilson signing there doesn’t hurt either.

It doesn’t matter if he does.

I have it on good authority that it doesn’t matter.

{twocents} OBJ is going to get incentives. No way is he getting big money with a twice-ripped up knee, and most of the season on IR. And now there is concern his knee could take him down Todd Gurley Avenue.

    Sucks for him.

Stafford won’t sign for less than 40. Rodgers just got 50. And Stafford has the same number of SB rings.  They’re going to have to pay him.

I can’t imagine that no team will outbid the Rams for Miller. Somebody is going to buy him for more than the Rams can pay.

Helianthus is a local friend of mine, Z.  Professor.  Into native plants, socialism, bats, and the evolution of insect mouth-parts.

After I posted that, I decided to check out their timeline, and came away convinced that a real person is behind the tweets, so I followed back, and now I have created room for a new recommendation from Twitter.

I just thought it was so strange that this user, who is hardly ever active, and has only 12 followers (13 now), has been Twitter recommended to me incessantly for so long.

WV has mentioned in the past that’s he’s been doing anthropological studies of Left Twitter, but I don’t know his “handle.” Given that you’re both Seahawks fans, you must talk a lot about Seattle? I suppose I could always duckduckgo “leftist Seahawk fans.”

    You’re half right.

    WV’s handle is CraftBoi3.

He mostly tweets tips about how to make Russell Wilson dolls with crochet, play-doh, and potato-carving versions. Things like that.

Just saw your “retweet” of the Trevor Noah clip.

I was unaware that you follow me on Twitter. I must follow you, too, without realizing it.

    This seems weird to me.

This acct followed me about a month ago (and follows wv, who follows back). It has 12 followers, the same amount it had a month ago when it followed me. The acct has been listed under my Who to Follow recommendations ever since. A month or more now. Other basically No Profile accts have followed me over that time, too, but they never show up as a recommendation. WTF?

PS It’s not Biden. It’s the other one.

You would think that any contamination that would threaten Europe would threaten Russia as well. And the Black Sea. Or maybe they really are that crazy.

That was my first thought, too, but then memories stirred up a little dust in my brain, and I seem to recall that the fallout of Chernobyl blew west or southwest towards Europe.

NATO exists only to defend western Europe against an imperial and expansionist Russian right-wing autocrat who assassinates his critics. The deal Russia make with Ukraine when the latter dismantled the nukes wasn’t upheld either. NATO is nothing but a defensive arrangement against an aggressive Putinized Russia. Eliminate Putin and a more benign Russia could easily de-escalate the entire NATO situation since under those conditions NATO would have no reason to exist.

You are making the distinction that NATO is strictly a military alliance.

I’m using it as a concrete representation of Euro-American hegemony.

Yeah, NATO isn’t going to invade. It doesn’t have to. Euro-American business interests are consuming Ukraine without NATO having to do anything beyond military exercises.

And I think it’s very doubtful that NATO would go away without the threat of Putin. It didn’t go away after the threat of the USSR disappeared.

It’s not a good look to call for somebody’s assassination publicly, especially if one is a prominent politician oneself.

I don’t watch those guys play enough to know.

And you hardly ever watch Rams games, so I don’t know how you have an opinion on those other guys, but suit yourself.

I think Aaron Rodgers is a better quarterback, but he’s not a good teammate, and I think that matters. There are a bunch of teams that are talented and capable of winning the Super Bowl, and I happen to think that good team chemistry is at least as important as OL depth. And Rodgers is a primadonna dickhead. I don’t think it’s a great thing to have your team captain think that everyone else is beneath him.

Of all those QBs, not one of them have more rings than Matthew Stafford, and some have fewer.

I will say that I would not take Rodgers, Jackson, or Wilson. I don’t see any of those as a clear upgrade. I concede Rodgers is a better QB, but I’m not sure he is an upgrade, as I said.

Mahomes, maybe. He’s 26. Herbert I’ve seen play maybe 15 snaps, and he has a terrific arm. Don’t think 15 plays is enough to evaluate him, though.

I do like Burrow. I like his skill and his attitude and his youth. If I had to trade, I think I’d take Burrow. But if I had to trade, I’d like to have three weeks of time to watch film before I decided.
