    At this point, I’d almost take Chandler Brewer over Bobby Evans on the roster. Rams have invested three years in developing him. Brings same tackle/guard versatility. He’s simply the better player.

    On another board, years ago back in the days when everyone defended Goff no matter what, which came before the later days where many attacked him no matter what, I was once in a debate about 4th quarter comebacks. At that time Goff did not have that many with the Rams (though he did at Cal). It was early in his career. 2017 I think. So one thing that got said was, we’ll get a better sense of him when has more of them. That got taken in that time as attacking Goff (which, remember, was at a time when you weren’t “supposed to.”) The main argument against this imagined slight was that 4th quarter comebacks aren’t really important. I chimed in and said yes they are–a good team will play other good teams, and scores will often be close, so you want a qb who is good in that situation–and when Goff gets more of those it will be a good thing. Since that was taken as slamming Goff (at a time when you weren’t supposed to do that),  the comment attracted all sorts of heat. Melee weapons were used. Longbowmen showered the world with arrows. (Persians to the Spartans at Thermopylae: our arrows will darken the sun. Spartan response: then we will fight in the shade.) The idea that 4th quarter comebacks mean anything got angrily dismissed.

    Now years later no one complains about Stafford’s 4th quarter comebacks. 😎

    I certainly don’t. I have long since thought 4th quarter comebacks were one of the keys to measuring a qb’s greatness.

    The Rams’ defense is for real. The depth being displayed in the preseason may just be a small piece to the puzzle right now, but their ability to draft and develop young talent in late rounds is a framework that many other teams in this league wish they could replicate.

    One year with the Rams was also all it took for Stafford to crack the top 30 on the NFL’s annual list of the 100 best players in the NFL. The rankings are being revealed little by little, and on Sunday night, Stafford’s name popped up.

    He was voted the 27th-best player in the NFL entering 2022, the highest ranking of his career. His previous best was No. 31 in 2017 and 2018. Last year, Stafford was ranked outside the top 100, which just goes to show what the 2021 season did for him.

    As a girl of 19, I was removed from my car at gunpoint, then brutally pistol whipped by a Los Angeles county Sherrif in plain clothes. The Officer never stated he was a cop. He had me walk to his car with the gun to my back. #PoliceBrutality

    Terrified, I pissed myself. I had been waiting for my bf in the pking lot of a club. It was the end of the night.I made the decision to be shot rather than get into his car. My screams were heard by other cops. Fucking ironic that they saved me from one of their own.

    I was picked up off the ground with no kindness. This Off duty cop told them I had struggled for his gun and hit my head on the car. Later on forensics would prove that the 17 stitches right above my left eye was caused by blunt force trauma.

    I had a concussion and my eye was swollen shut. It was the ER doctors who told me that the man who tried to kidnap me at gunpoint was a cop.

    I do not trust cops. Don’t tell me about how great they are when this shit continues WITHOUT EQUAL RECOURSE. I’m lucky that they fired him.

    He probably was allowed to work in another state. I went through hell for years after that. This event changed my view of cops forever. I was taught they were the good guys and I believed that. Don’t fucking talk to me about Law and Order.

    Rams qb history is an odd one.

    Great qbs with short Rams careers. Warner, Stafford (for opposite reasons).

    Very good qbs that were basically ruined for one reason or another (Everett, Bulger, Goff).

    Some great teams with subpar or average at best qbs (Haden, Brock).

    Yet at one point they had on their roster 3 top qbs, including one elite one, that they got for a total of zero draft picks spent (Warner, Green, Bulger). Not only that, but, the original draft capital total for all 3 qbs before they became Rams was one 6th and one 8th round pick. The Vermeil/Martz teams just had a knack for finding and developing qbs. Not sure I can think of another team that had 3 top 10 qbs in their prime on their roster at the same time.

    The Kendall Blanton cut is a big one and says multiple things: – Rams want to keep extra WRs, maybe as many as 8 (as previously noted) – May need to keep 3QBs/4RBs. – Brycen Hopkins, Lance McCutcheon, Jacob Harris all made strong cases in camp and preseason

    So let’s say hypothetically the Rams keep 2 TEs, important to not look at a “TE3” as a guy who is marked on the roster as a TE. Jacob Harris can do TE things (whatever that may mean now). Lance McCutcheon. Ben Skowronek. Fun fact – Cooper Kupp ALSO does “TE things”. Liquid role.

    Kendall Blanton was set to be a FA after this year, whereas Hopkins and Harris are locked up for at least another year after this. I wonder if that had something to do with his release. Also, cutting Blanton leaves no dead cap compared to Harris and Hopkins. Clearly the Rams have gone for future upside

    Blanton had 7 targets for 7 receptions, going for 5 first downs and a TD during the Super Bowl run. And his blocking was essential too. Shame to see him go, but wish him all the best.

    Rams don’t even make it to the Superbowl without Blanton last year. Even if Hopkins is TE2, Blanton was beat out for TE3? Harris to TE I guess? Really is a “what have you done for me lately league” & I wish Blanton all the best.

    Blanton will more likely be added to PS. Rams runs alot of 3 wrs sets and uses their wrs as blockers. Ben Skow and Harris are both TE hybrids and solid run blockers

    I like Perkins more than Wolford. Wolford can manage a game fine but Perkins can make those plays you don’t expect. The kind of plays that energize a team. If Stafford were to go down that’s what I’d want in a QB. His escapability sets him apart. He navigates the pocket well
