znModeratorLet’s see your humor side

RAMS OFFENSIVE LINE INJURIES GOT SO EXTENSIVE & SEVERE DURING THE GAME THEY HAD BORROW A RESERVE GUARD FROM THE 49ERS BENCH JUST TO FINISH THE 4TH QUARTER.
znModeratorHoldenCantor@HoldenCantorJoe Noteboom allowed 10 total pressures and 3 sacks last night..JAKE ELLENBOGEN@JKBOGENMatthew Stafford was pressured 28 times last night and still had a chance. But yes, blame Stafford because it’s all his fault he didn’t throw for 300 and 4 TDs with 28 PRESSURES!

znModeratorNo turnovers. Too much zone.
I suspect this is due to injuries also. Kendricks is a rookie and he’s playing over vets with more time in the system.
Last time we saw them with both a beat-up OL and a beat-up secondary was 2011. It’s not a key to success.
znModeratorSosa Kremenjas@QBsMVPMatthew Stafford has actually been really good against pressure this season (per PFF): 55 dropbacks vs. pressure (8th-most) 6.5 YPA (17th) 72.3 PFF grade (2nd) 10.8% big-time throw % (4th) 3.6% turnover worthy plays (29th) 82.4% adj completion % (2nd)

znModeratorJourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue
Season-high 24 pressures allowed, a 42.9% rate. Fair to say that has an effect on every facet of their offense, but it’s not injured guys’ fault they got injured. Pretty unlucky start. They also could probably have rushed four like the Bills (entered game with 43% rate on non-blitz pressure), who sent no blitzes, but blitzed 25% of dropbacks in theory perhaps to take advantage of new personnel/noise/communication combo along embattled OL.
Maybe one of the best Stafford plays tonight, as line collapses around him. Steps way up, hits Kupp for 13 on fourth and 10.
Then he and Robinson can’t connect on a shot to the end zone, then nearly picked as the Rams get to the two-min warning.
.JAKE ELLENBOGEN@JKBOGEN
Here’s what I’ll take away from this game.– Rams moved the ball on a top 5 defense without much of their OL left remaining and with no run game established
– Defense held the 49ers to 17 points despite some big explosive plays
– It’s week 4 and they will get healthier.
.Rams Brothers@RamsBrothers
It’s insane to think Brandon Powell has a bigger role in this game than Allen Robinson. He and Stafford just don’t seem to have any trust yet.October 4, 2022 at 12:38 am in reply to: media & twitter on the 9ers game, “highlights” included #140992

What is the Republican solution to high healthcare cost?.
znModeratorWell, I am back to an old theme. You don’t win with OL injuries that massive/extensive. At least not against a solid defense you don’t.
Doesn’t matter how they drafted or who the qb is. Playcalling? Doesn’t matter. You play 3 centers and 5 guards in 4 games and that’s what it looks like. And in fact one of the replacements was during the game.
That’s all it is right there. No matter what else they did, you play with an OL that banged up, and those are the results. It’s 2007 all over again. I am surprised, given the injuries, that they played as well as they did.

znModeratorJourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigueSean McVay was asked why it has been a struggle to spread the ball around and get it to Allen Robinson. Says, “I think it’s just been a struggle all around.”.Rams fall to 49ers on the road, 24-9. 17 points allowed by defense and then the pick 6. Offense kept completely out of end zone and Stafford sacked 7 times by 5 different players as OL continues to deal with injury streak.A lot – a lot! – went wrong in this one so this comment is not exclusive but 17 points allowed should be enough to win a game, historically for this team. A grimace of a game.
.
Blaine Grisak@bgrisakDTRRams have done a good job this season limiting explosive plays. Both 49ers touchdowns have come on explosive plays..SeattleRams@seattlerams_nflTwice inside the 10, come away with 6 points..October 3, 2022 at 11:28 pm in reply to: media & twitter on the 9ers game, “highlights” included #140979

znModeratorBlaine Grisak@bgrisakDTRNeed some realistic expectations tonight. Not that I’m “expecting the Rams to lose”, but shorthanded on the OL and in the secondary again will make things tough. McVay and Morris will have their hands full..The Rams OL vs 49ers DL could end up being a complete mismatch. Don’t love Bobby Evans at LG, but that’s where we’re at. McVay going to need to use a lot of quick game, TE screens, and play action to slow down the pass rush. Can’t be a repeat of Buffalo.October 3, 2022 at 12:38 pm in reply to: injury status before game 4 & Monday’s inactives list #140966
