Happy Juneteenth, Jack. A day late but… happy Father’s Day too.

    Thanks for that, Jack.

First vid I ever watched of Professor Chomsky. I know the have been posted here a lot, but I’m just now getting over my fear of clicking on a link and having my computer turn into split pea soup…

My wife and I are flying from Newark, NJ to San Fran, CA tomorrow to visit our son who has been working at Tesla in Palo Alto since January. He is wrapping up a 6 month Co-op work study. He is 21 and this is the longest he has been away without seeing me, my wife or his sister. We’re really, really looking forward to the trip.

Hey, Joe. Get the booster before the World Series. Fuck the Dodgers. I am a Yankee fan; I’ve got some bad feelings about this year. The funny thing is, I root for most of the NY teams (I live about 60 miles from Time’s Square) except for the Giants and the Jets. Actually, I do root for the Giants, especially when they are plying against the Patriots(!). The Knicks have overperformed, the Rangers, not so much. Can’t wait for Football.

Jack, although it looks like a head scratcher to us, we really won’t be able to grade this for three or four years.

If you asked me what I thought the day after we drafted Aaron Donald, I think I would have said he was an under-sized DL who will quickly be out of the league…

    Just saying.

    Gadget WR?

I’m sure they could have traded out and gotten him in the 5th?

I think we dodged a bullet here. Rogers may be “better” than Stafford, but he is such a douche. I wouldn’t be happy if the Rams had gotten Rogers this off season. Too bad he won’t end up imploding SF…

I fold. The best I had was the stupid Boston accent, but that doesn’t compare to earthquakes.

My bad. What I meant is THE Satan loves the Red Sox; A Satan (probably one of the intern Satan’s or maybe just a Wood Nymph) loves the Giants. Humans fall for the lesser demons all the time, so no shame on you. It is a well known fact that THE Satan only watches AL East baseball, unless the Blue Jays are doing OK, then he channel surfs, but just between the game and reruns of “Hogan’s Heroes”.

I’m going for my 2nd Pfizer shot today. My wife had her 2nd Moderna last week, and she had bad upper body pains, a headache and a fever for 2 days.

By the way Zooey, you’re wrong on who Satan’s team is. If Satan wore socks, what color would they be? Red, or course. I rest my case.

The fact that Lindsey Graham won re-election in the 2020 cycle makes me want to puke every time I think about it. Well, Ted Cruz too, but that probably deserves another thread.

Hey, Joe. Where you going with that gun in your hand?

Agree on Devo. They should be in. Whip It! and Satisfaction were masterpieces.

The other two I think definitely belong are Tina Turner and Todd Rundgren.

Tina has had an amazing career, from her early stuff with Ike, her solo stuff in the 60’s, her revival in the 80’s and just for being her. Hell, her Acid Queen in the movie Tommy should get her in all by itself!

Rundgren could get in just as a producer. Grand Funk Railroad were a bunch of washed up nobody’s before he produced “We’re an American Band.”. True, they still are washed up nobody’s, but everybody knows THAT song. He also took heavy metal XTC and convinced them to make “Dear God”. Bold move at the time, great song. As a musician and front man, he is no slouch. I did see him live once, in Providence, RI, so maybe I’m biased in his favor.

    The best of the rest?

Carole King – just saw her do a COVID vaccine song.

Kate Bush – her duet with Peter Gabriel on “Don’t give up’ on the “So” album is timeless

The Go-go’s – Hey, are they all chicks?

Everybody else can go fuck off.

I’m beginning to like the trade more and more.

I tried to think (without resorting to Google) of a few QB’s who were on bad teams early on, then went on to greatness.

Two names came to me: Jim Plunkett and Steve Young.

I’m sure there are 10 QB’s who crashed and burnt for every one that went on to succeed, but I think the Rams are going to put Stafford into a position to really succeed. I hope so, anyway.

Now we definately need a deep threat WR.

I heard a CBS Sports Minute with Jim Rome on WFAN sports radio this afternoon. He implied that where there is smoke, there is fire with the Rams / Goff talk, and that we should be prepared for Goff being elsewhere next season. Just his take, but he is sort of an insider, I guess.

I say, keep them guessing on the QB front. Switch them out on alternate series, activate Bortles too and have a three QB rotation. That would certainly fuck with them…

    I’m beginning to lose faith.

I mean, we all saw the Jets coming, and look what they did to the Browns, but the Seahawks?? How the fuck can we lose to that shit bag team? Really?
