JackPMillerParticipant
I just realized, if we beat Arizona next week, we would be 4-1 in the division. That means we have a winning record in the West. It is something to get excited for.
JackPMillerParticipantJackPMillerParticipantI think we go 2-6, the rest of the year.
JackPMillerParticipantLooks a lot like, what I said, in a different post, earlier in the week
JackPMillerParticipantSeeing Wentz in a Rams jersey, feels weird, to me, for some reason.

JackPMillerParticipantRight now, if the season ended today, we would be picking 6th in the draft.
JackPMillerParticipantI feel it is time to look into the draft and free agency.
JackPMillerParticipantAgain, I’ll have to rely on both NFL.com with the lines, and the chat. That’s because the game that is going to be on in my area, is New England @ Washington.
JackPMillerParticipantI won’t be able to see the game. The schedule has New England @ Washington on. So, I’ll have to watch the game on NFL.com, and the lines.
JackPMillerParticipantJackPMillerParticipantThe #Vikings are trading for #AZCardinals QB Josh Dobbs, with plenty of starting experience, per me and @TomPelissero.

JackPMillerParticipantDon’t be shocked, if we become sellers. If some team gives us some type of deal that will blow their minds for AD, they may take it. Not saying a trade will happen, but it would be a trade to blow their minds.
JackPMillerParticipantJackPMillerParticipantI am starting to wonder if burnout has taken McVay? It makes me wonder, if McVay, after the season, may decide to leave coaching, and take a few years off, before coming back to the NFL? If McVay does leave, who is going to replace him? Will the new coach, want to get rid of AD, & Matt Stafford, as to rebuild, as in trades?

JackPMillerParticipantThere was nothing much you can take from this game. After this crushing defeat, makes me wonder if we are going to be sellers by the trade deadline? We played like we are.
JackPMillerParticipantI won’t be able to watch the game, due to the Eagles play at the same time. That means, watching the game on NFL.com with the lines. You struggle to find out, what is going on.
JackPMillerParticipantA new kicker in LA: Rams are planning to sign former Colts kicker Lucas Havrisik off the Browns’ practice squad, per sources. https://t.co/nAs8Poczbd

JackPMillerParticipantStill tend to struggle in the 2nd half.
Also, close first downs, with the spot, like what happened in the game, should be looked at, at all times, as an automatic booth review. That is a rule we should have, not be under two minutes, to look at it. I hope I said that right.
JackPMillerParticipant#Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the #Rams and likely will be sidelined longer after aggravating his hamstring in practice Thursday, per sources.

JackPMillerParticipantThe #Rams run the risk of being down two RBs:
— RB Kyren Williams, who rushed for 158 yards yesterday, suffered an ankle injury, left without a boot but is getting an MRI.
— Backup Ronnie Rivers is believed to have a PCL sprain that could keep him out a few weeks. MRI coming.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 16, 2023
JackPMillerParticipantyeah, kyren williams. what a player. so tough. and cooper kupp too. puka had one bad drop in the endzone. but he usually catches those. and byron young! first sack. and a forced fumble on the play too! just need to partner him up with someone on the other side. and witherspoon again has a great game. and congrats to mcvay for adjusting in the second half. one of the worst halves they’ve had this season followed by the one of the best.
If you get a chance, there is going to be some major talent at Edge, in free agency. One name I have on my mind for next year is AJ Espenesa from Buffalo. The Bills I hear are going to be in a mess financially, and may not be able to sign him. We would have a ton of cap room to sign him. Za’Darius Smith is another guy I like as well, and he plays for the Browns, right now. Either one would fit well, being paired with Byron Young.
JackPMillerParticipantWe did what we had to do. But, will McVay run the ball from here on out? And, will Puka find himself again? Puka was horrible today.
JackPMillerParticipantUnless someone can post a link to a site, that I can watch the game, the only option I have, is to watch on NFL.com with the squiggly lines.
JackPMillerParticipantAm I the only one who thought the PI call against Kendrick in the EZ at the end of the first half was bogus? I haven’t rewatched it. I only saw what was shown during the original broadcast, but it looked like to me the the receiver initiated the contact and then fell down.
I thought both the Horse Collar call, and the PI were bogus calls. AJ Brown was taken down by the side of the shoulder pad, not the back.
JackPMillerParticipantIt was good to see the entire game, “live.” As others have mentioned, the Rams hung in there early, but just couldn’t maintain. In my view, it really boils down to a lack of size/strength along the D-line to stop the run, and athleticism/skill at edge and defensive back to stop the pass. Hoecht, for instance, is playing out of position, and just lacks the bend, agility, and twitch to cover anyone. But he also lacks the strength to be stout along the D-line. In my view, the Rams need to push him to beef up with good weight and move back to DT. As long as their scheme calls for edges to also cover, they need quick twitch athletes out there who can. They desperately need to keep their draft picks and load up on blue-chippers on D, and the O-line, especially. IMO, rhey’ve had far too many years without top picks, and the late pick/UDFA route has just left them without the overall athleticism/skill sets needed to compete. I agree with this take from Turf Show Times: https://www.turfshowtimes.com/2023/10/8/23908958/rams-eagles-roster-defense-offense-sean-mcvay
Good thing, when you look at free agency next year, it looks like the DLine, and Edge positions are strong, the draft looks weak, at those two positions like RB, & TE. But, we could be seeing potentially, of being the greatest talent in history, for the CB & Safety positions, in the 2024 draft. I do say, we desperately need a LT, because none can stay healthy, and the Center position. I know, neither Brian Allen, nor Cameron Shelton, would start for any other team in the NFL. They are not that good.
JackPMillerParticipantAs I said in the chat, it is going to take a few years to get back.
In alphabetical order, this team desperately needs
1. Center. Neither Brian Allen, nor Cameron Shelton, would be a starter, on another NFL roster.
2. Cornerback, to work opposite of Witherspoon
3. Edge. Hoecht should be on the DLine, as a 3/4 DE
4. Left Tackle. They can’t stay healthy there.
5. Safety. Not really talented there.
6. QB. Someone to replace Stafford, when he retires.
We don’t have them, right now.
If we can get those, then we may able to get back to the Super Bowl, in 3 to 4 years.
JackPMillerParticipantCooper Kupp in Indianapolis in 2021: 9 catches for 163 yards.
Puka Nacua in Indianapolis in 2023: 9 catches for 163 yards.

JackPMillerParticipantWe need to play better in the 2nd half. Now we got Philly at home. I wonder if we can shock the world, next week, and defeat the Eagles. I say, we got little to no shot at beating them.
