Good win.
QB looked great for his first game with the team.
Few things to work on in the run game and on defense.
What I hoped to see in the first game.

August 22, 2021 at 6:00 pm in reply to: “contact balance” is a thing & Rams RBs have it in abundance #131661HramParticipantThat is a good looking run.
HramParticipantHopkins may not have it. Or he just may need more development.
Lawler looked good.
Jones looked good.
Harris has a lot of potential.
RBs looked okay IMO given the limited space they had to run in.
2nd and 3rd string Olines were inadequate.

And
This turned into a very fun thread 🙂

August 4, 2021 at 10:32 pm in reply to: Lions writer: ‘Vast difference’ between Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford #131307HramParticipantIf Stafford threw 2-3 50+ yard TDs every game that would 34-51 for the year.
Is that too much to expect? 🙂
HramParticipantLawrence mcCutcheon would work.
I’d like to see Cappelletti in this offense. Heck, Wendell Tyler would be good to have on the team right now. 🙂
HramParticipantInteresting
July 21, 2021 at 6:12 pm in reply to: Henderson set to EXPLODE following Cam Akers injury – Jake Ellenbogen #131026HramParticipantWhen I read the headline I thought he was having a spinal tap moment, after looking at it I think he is just way too over optimistic.
I think we are back to running back by committee this year.
HramParticipantWell, darn.
HramParticipantJalen, it worked for Anneas, Williams.
HramParticipantI think the rookie is a year or two away even if he does reaches potential, but I agree with everything else Invader.
HramParticipantI meant even top 2/3rds at center.
Here’s hoping!
HramParticipant20th is a top 1/3rd guard, but I think it is a stretch to project him as a top 1/3rd center when he hasn’t yet played the position.

HramParticipantI’m just spitballing here but I am guessing the Rams won’t carry all seven of the special teams players on their final roster. Some tough cuts to come.
May 6, 2021 at 3:17 pm in reply to: Rodrigue on the draft – Podcast + article (the most in-depth one we have) #129709HramParticipantWe will rally around Corbett, who will sign a long term deal during the season, and we will play good football!
It could happen
HramParticipantYou live in your own world, Marcus. Just grab your crotch and hold on really really tight.
It’s this kind of awesome post that makes me wish we had a “like” feature on this forum. 🙂
HramParticipantOr anchrum or brewer at RG
May 2, 2021 at 9:42 pm in reply to: how do you “grade” this draft? or just…what do you make of this draft #129580HramParticipantI think he has some position versatility. Which is important if you are going to play with Donald. 🙂
May 2, 2021 at 8:32 pm in reply to: how do you “grade” this draft? or just…what do you make of this draft #129572HramParticipantThe Tutu pick is growing on me.
The Rams have not had anyone who could stretch the field since cooks and they need that for this offense. They haven’t had anyone to run the jet suite effectively since Austin and they need that in this offense.
tutu cannot run as well as Austin but he is just as fast. He’s 20 pounds lighter than cooks but it looks like he has better hands and can track the ball in the air better. Plus supposedly he will fight for balls which was something cooks seldom did.
With him you get both these players for the price of one.
Supposedly he was already up to 160 on draft day so they could probably get him up to about 170 in which case he may be big enough to play a full season after Jackson departs particularly if it is only about a third to half the snaps on offense since they have three other good wide receivers and will probably also do some two TE sets.

HramParticipantI don’t believe not picking an oline prospect hurt then this year as the Rams have some decent depth. It could hurt them in two to three years since they won’t be developing a new pick. But there are so many ways to build an Oline.
When they figure out who is going to play center, if that person is decent, they will be in good shape.
After this year when several contracts expire, they’ll have to extend or acquire a few.
May 1, 2021 at 7:52 pm in reply to: how do you “grade” this draft? or just…what do you make of this draft #129493HramParticipantI think the entire group will redshirt Although three or four may make the roster. The rest will be on the practice squad.
The Rams been trending this direction in the last couple of drafts.
One of the wide receivers will probably be converted to tight end and the other one may be converted to H-back or a large slot receiver. Either make play but it will probably be in two or three years unless one of them surprises on special teams.
Once they did not go oline by the fourth round, it kind of makes sense to not get one the rest of the draft. There should be lots of online men including lots of free agent centers who want to sign with the Rams at this point
HramParticipantBig fella
HramParticipantGood call Jack!
HramParticipantI think it’s more likely Desean Jackson only has one season with them.
HramParticipantSeems to be different opinions on his potential at different sites.
My guess is they will redshirt him this year (they do that a lot in this regime) playing some special teams while they see how he develops.
Probably get a 5th round pick for him in 4 years when they let him go in Free Agency 🙂
HramParticipantI know the tautology is tautological, and all, and teams draft the guys they like, and not the players they don’t like.
But if speed was their aim, why not Anthony Scwartz? He’s faster than Tutu, and 6′.
I wouldn’t have gone wideout at all, but Scwartz has Olympic speed. Tutu is just fast, and his vert and broad are pedestrian.
Best guess, Schwartz looks like more of a straight line fellow and tutu has more wiggle.
I’m thinking of those jet sweeps. Also sounds like tutu has a chip on his shoulders, which is in his favor.

HramParticipantWe will Jack, lots of goo Oline left in this draft and I don’t think the current Oline depth we have is that far off.
