I’m 51 with no pre existing conditions that I am aware of.

Currently, it seems as though both my partner and I will still have have our jobs when this is over.

We have two daughters. One in elementary school and one in high school. All schools are closed in Canada. Before the March break the province announced that schools would be closed through the first week in April. It sounds like that might be extended indefinitely as the province works on some learning from home options.

Where I live, in the north shore of Lake Superior we have no reported cases. There are small towns in our region that do and have already declared a state of emergency. With so many residents of our city who have recently returned from their condos and vacations abroad I assume that it is only a matter of time until we have our first case. I’m sure that it must already be in our city.

Anyway, so far during the lockdown I’ve been reading “Talking to Strangers” by Malcolm Gladwell, watching Columbo and working out in the basement. I will also go for a couple of walks around the neighbourhood each day to ensure I get my 10 000 steps. The snow is finally melting up here. This is the time when I would usually start going for some longer bike rides, but I’m really trying to limit any activities that increase my probability of having to end up in ER. Although, I’ve really only had one bad crash in my life.

    Take care everyone.

Oh crap! Now I can’t unsee the penis. Penises and bananas. Go Rams.

I find them all disappointing to some degree. I could potentially like the Ram logo, but it has bananas for horns and I hate bananas. Bananas smell bad and their texture is gross. Thumbs down 👎🏽.

If the reports of people still gathering in public spaces are true, I don’t see anyway that the seasons starts on time. I wouldn’t be surprised if their is no season. At this point were I forced to bet I would bet against it happening.

Staying indoors. Currently reading Gladwell’s ‘Talking to Strangers.’

Been going for multiple short walks around the neighbourhood while it’s still allowed. Usually, with this kind of downtime I would be going for lots of bike rides, but I’m trying to minimize any activities that increase the probability of me having to visit a hospital.

Been listening to my daughters teach themselves various new songs on the piano. So that’s been nice.

In Ontario our schools begin March break after tomorrow. Our provincial government just announced that there will be no school for the two weeks after the break. Interesting times.

I’m really disappointed. That looks terrible. My love of the Rams started in 1976 because I saw the Rams playing the Vikings on one of Duluth TV stations that we used to get up here. I saw the Rams helmets and uniforms and that was it, I was hooked. I barely understood the rules of football at that point, but I watched that game. I ordered a Lawrence McCutcheon poster from Sports Illustrated that I kept and it currently hangs in my man cave. I disliked the colour change and the stylized Ram that was introduced in St. Louis and looked forward to this change. Now I just feel let down, way more than I should over something as frivolous as a team logo. I’ll persevere though, don’t you worry about me. It saves me some money though. I won’t spend a cent on anything with that logo.

Go ahead-vote green if you must- make a statement.

I intend to vote my conscience. Go ahead and do the same.

And yes, its a black black black day for the Biosphere, the Polar Bears, Poor People in America, and Poor People who will be bombed by Biden/Trump.

I don’t claim to know a great deal about American politics. I understand that Sanders is further left than Biden, though. Furthermore, I read threads here periodically, so I have a cursory understanding of how people on this board feel about the candidates. I clearly don’t know enough about Biden’s history beyond being Obama’s VP, however. Will Biden’s policies really be the same as Trump’s? Biden doesn’t seem as overtly obnoxious as I find Trump to be, but will he continue with tax cuts and the gutting of institutions designed to protect the environment and the marginalized?

I’m interested to read how Sanders supporters will vote if Bernie isn’t the Democratic nominee. Last year, in our federal election I voted strategically for the first time ever. Faced with the prospects of a Conservative government, I didn’t vote for progressive candidate that I actually preferred. It was spineless on my part and I still feel crappy about I, but I know that I would have been miserable had the Conservatives gained power. I doubt I will vote that way again however. I do wonder if it will be too late by then though.

Speaking only anecdotally from my daily life with an arthritic knee, I think the best way to manage Gurley and his knee is to have a great 2nd option at RB and an above average offensive line. I can’t imagine that there is a plan that involves Gurley being his old self. He was still pretty good in the red zone last season. Maybe limit the majority of his work to inside the opponent’s 20.

I remember the first training camp that I went to in Macomb. Bruce was so incredibly smooth and fluid when running his routes that he just caught my eye on every play during 7 on 7s and full scrimmages. He was just a different athlete than everybody else. Bruce making the HOF makes me incredibly happy. Bruce and Jack Youngblood will always be my favourite Rams.

This disappoints me. The losses to Tampa, Baltimore and Dallas were pretty ugly defensively, but even so I still wanted Phillips to return. Players seem to like playing for him from what I’ve read. I would assume that McVay already has a target.

I was begging for a winning season three years ago, so I’m happy about the win. Higbee’s December has me excited for next year.

Last night was the first time that I finally saw why others are excited about Troy Hill. Up to this point, I have to admit that didn’t see it.

Yay! The Rams won’t have a losing season.

Goff looked great behind solid blocking in the first half.

The first picture, of the sign at the Airlane Hotel, is from where I live. Funny that I had find out about it here at a site for LA Rams fans.

I see the Ravens playing at a different level than the Rams right now, so I’m all about moral victories for the Rams in this game. Maybe hold Lamar Jackson to under 100 yards rushing and limit him to three TD passes while holding their offense to 28 points or less. Something along those lines.

Oh well. It’s the end of the first half and I’ve already given up on any moral victories. As my Finnish relatives like to say, there’s a lot of work to do with an axe around here.

With the closer to normal workload for Gurley I will be interested to see if he has any issues with his knee going into this week’s game vs. Baltimore.

Sad thing is CJ Anderson is a free agent. He was a big part of our running game last year.

Do you think that CJ could run as well behind this year’s line?

I don’t think that anything is wrong with McVay. I think the biggest problem that the Rams need to figure out how to fix is the running game. The already mentioned issues on the offensive line are clearly a problem. I don’t know if the answer at RB is currently on the roster either. I believe once they fix the running game the rest of the offense will fall into place. I don’t see that happening this year though. It’s going to have to be addressed in the offseason. Right now I think we are looking at a .500 team maybe a little worse.

I thought that secondary left a lot to be desired. Overall this doesn’t seem like a defense that gets you into the playoffs, let alone gets you a deep playoff run. I might feel differently if the Rams had an explosive offense, but that’s just not the case this year.

I was happy to see Okoronkwo get pressure on Dalton. It would be super helpful if he developed as a pass rusher. The Rams are going to need pass rush help if they lose Fowler to FA.

Done without a new deal for Ramsey. IIRC, the Rams were willing to trade for Mack last year without giving him a new deal as well.

    Carpe diem I guess.

So the starting corners are Hill and Robey-Coleman?

    Hmmm…

    Tanking for Tua?

    Hurting for Hurts?

    Yearning for Young?

    Breaking down for Brown?

    Fumbling for Fulton?
