When I left New Orleans this morning, folks were still steaming over the non-PI call, as they should be. This will be tough for Saints fans to get over

    Charles Robinson@CharlesRobinson
Was it slightly awkward that #Rams players were openly admitting that the refs blew it yesterday and cost the #Saints a crucial call?

    Yes.

    Did L.A. care?

    No.

    Andrew Siciliano@AndrewSiciliano
BOTH can be, and ARE true:

    1) Yes. It was PI. They blew it.

    2) ALSO missed: obvious facemask on Goff scramble on previous drive. Rams should have had 1st-and-goal on the 1. They take the lead, rather than tie.

Any reasonable conversation should include BOTH.

To me, the proper retort is, the Saints led with 2 min left and didn’t get a stop. They got the ball in OT and turned it over. They had to stop the Rams in OT and didn’t do it. I think that’s a stronger argument than tallying up missed calls.

And they had the ball in the red zone their first two possession and didn’t get in the end zone because of a drop and a bad series. The missed call is papering over a lot of potential second guessing of the Saints.

@Nate13Burleson and SVP are the only ones on TV I’ve seen say the Saints had calls that benefited them. Great point made by Nate.

Sean McVay becomes the youngest head coach at 32 to advance to the Super Bowl.

Jared Goff stood tall in the Rams’ biggest moment and delivered. Now the Rams are headed to the Super Bowl. The three-week slump is old news.

    The Athletic@TheAthleticLA
“I can’t hear shit,” Jared Goff said at times inside the the Superdome on Sunday. The soft-spoken QB managed to make himself heard in the huddle to rally the Rams to Super Bowl LIII.

    Michael Silver@MikeSilver
I’ve known @JaredGoff16 for a long time. He has always been unflappable. On Sunday he was… Super.

Lost in the hype of everything else in the NFC championship game was this: Week 9 Michael Thomas had 12 catches for 211 yards in The Saints win over the Rams when corner Aqib Talib was out. Sunday with Talib back? 4 catches for 36 yards. Aqib matters
