We had two weeks to prepare, but the Lions also had 10 days to prepare for us as well, since they played on Thanksgiving Day.

Both teams will be rested and ready to play in this game.

Could be a difficult game for us, Kerryon Johnson has been a decent surprise for those Lions in their run game, and we have struggled against them. Aquib Talib should be back on Sunday, but how many snaps will he play on Defense, I do expect to see some rust on Mr. Talib. I do expect him to be locked on Kenny Golladay a lot though, when he is in the field.

What do you guys think about this game?

I think the Rams win by 20+ points.

IMO, Stafford misses Golden Tate and now Marvin Jones went on IR after missing the last two games. Without those two WRs, he seems to hold the ball too long. Kerryon Johnson is a good back, but just “good”. Same for Golliday. IMO the Lions will struggle to score 17 points.

On defense, they have a very good corner in Darius Slay and a good DE in Ziggy Ansah who has been playing well lately. The front seven can get to the QB, but they give up big plays and points.

Talib sez the Rams need to work on eliminating the big play. I’m guessing that is going to open up the ‘little plays’ for Stafford. I expect the Lions to be successful at dinking and dunking at home.

The Lions have no speed outside since they shipped Tate off.

Rams should win, but i think that it will be closer than most expect. I think wv’s difference of 8 pts is pretty reasonable, but I think the Rams eclipse 30 points. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Lions get close to the 30 point level.

Rams off the bye…50 points. Lions…20 or fewer.

Ought to be a win. See, I can surprise people sometimes with my off-the-map predictions.

Detroit defense is 28th in YPA against the pass, 28th in opponent completion percentage, 31st in opponent qb rating, 21st in YPC against the run, 14th in total yards but 24th in points allowed. They are 5th in sack percentage so that’s the hurdle…though in the last 3 games it dropped to 14th.

They’re also 23rd in yards on offense and 21st in points.

The Lions had 10 days off, since they played on Thanksgiving. So it is almost like a bye.
