I have a mixed (ie. confused) view.

We’ll see how they do tonight, but, they are getting a bit of the shine rubbed off in this recent spate of tough games.

Any team can get on a roll and become the team of destiny.

But right now the Saints look like the NFC favorites.

OTOH, they gutted out a tough win against Seattle all while shooting themselves in the foot the whole time, AND coming off a rough rough week in LA. Maybe that kind of tough win in adversity lights a special fire.

And maybe I am a true fan type wishful thinker.

That;s my (split) vote, what’s your vote.

Right now, I have my doubts. The Saints outmatched them, and the Rams have been too leaky on defenst.

They need to beat the Chiefs and Bears for me to take them seriously. I mean…I will still have hope, but not confidence.

The defense tries to cheat at the beginning of games. No gap integrity. I just wish they’d hold the gaps at first. Let teams know that it won’t be that easy.

Right now, the NFC favorites are the Saints. We still have to beat them in their place. Plus, will we still have the playoff bye at the end of the year? After we come back from our bye in two weeks, we go to Chicago and Detroit. Not easy places to play, then we play the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. A little uncomfortable for sure.

no. even if they beat the kansas city tonight, i think that the saints are the team to beat in the nfc. i think they’re the favorites to win the whole thing.

I love this team, but with this defense the Rams are not legit Super Bowl favourites. I think they will be hard pressed to keep the first week bye as the Bears look solid on both sides of the ball.

I dont think there is a super bowl favorite right now.
A lot depends on who gets HFA.
A lot depends on who is healthy a month from now.

    Two big unknowns.

What we can say is the Saints and Rams and Bears are looking quite dangerous.
    Chiefs, Patriots, Steelers also.

Right now, the Rams D mirrors the 00 Squad. But there’s one big difference…this team has legitimate young talent on the defensive side of the ball, whereas the OO defense fielded a bunch of guys on their last legs, the end of more than a few careers.

The return of Talib will be huge. And I still think WP has a few tricks up his sleeve.
