Oh My God the comments for the Jeff Fisher article are just brutal. I feel bad for the guy… he has been the laughing stock of the NFL. I don’t think anyone deserves that.

I think he’d be a great DC or scouting Defensive talent but he’s lost when it comes to offense with the exception of RBs he could pick them. Most of those comments are generous as the Rams never won eight games with him as coach.

IMO the analysts with the harsh comments just simply ignore the real contexts. There are those of us though that point out he never had a full season with both a starting caliber veteran qb and a relatively healthy veteran line. The big flaw was IMO Fisher gets blamed for a lot of things that have nothing to do with the head coach, such as injuries. It reminds me of Bulger taking the blame for all the OL devastation the Rams suffered from 2007-2009. I would say under the conditions going 7-9 was pretty good. Either way let’s knock on wood and hope that McVay never has a season like those. In terms of acquiring talent, the Rams are winning now in good part because they inherited so much talent from the Fisher years.

Don’t mean to start a board war, just saying there’s different views out there.
