I think I like winning seasons better. They’re more gratifying.

Exactly the kind of workmanlike, unspectacular win, good teams complete.

This is the most balanced team the Rams have had since the GSOT. Special teams, offense, defense.

….i think this upcoming Eagle game is a trap game. Ya know.

The Rams didn’t play particularly well on either side of the ball but they did enough to beat a game but overmatched Cardinals team.

They did what good teams do…find a way to win even when they aren’t playing their best.

What nittany said. Goff doesn’t look like a rookie.

I was actually impressed with Arizona. After getting clocked 33-0, then whipped for 16 points in the first quarter, that team didn’t quit. They didn’t have enough, but they didn’t lie down.

First of all–yes–I’m thrilled to have a winning season. But at the same time–I’ll be severely disappointed if they have come this far and miss the playoffs.

    On the game:

Ugly but a win is a win.

I am so happy this team has GZ. He is so important to this football team. I don’t know what their record would be with a mediocre kicker but they would not have 9 wins.

I don’t care what Ogeltree says–I think he hurt himself on the flip. He wasn’t the same after that and he probably should have left the game sooner. Having said that–Hager is nothing special. There is a HUGE drop-off between those two. I don’t know what the injury status is of Ertz next week but Hager can’t cover him.

    Special teams are…special.

The Rams certainly are a very balanced team.

    I’m happy–I really am.

But I’m also concerned about the next four games. I believe the Rams have to win 2 of them to make sure they get to the playoffs. THAT won’t be easy.

I think the Rams would be wise to work on their silent count this week. Eagle fans will probably outnumber Rams fans next week and they will be loud. That will be a very tough game to win–especially if Ogeltree is hurt or out.

But for now–nice win. They absolutely needed it and found a way to get it.

Tighten your seatbelts. The next four weeks are going to be rough.

Just saw a video where Ogeltree grabs for his elbow after a tackle. So maybe it really didn’t happen on the flip.

In any case–I hope he can play next week.

The Rams are a winning team! Their run D is terrifying to me , as in Wentz won’t need to throw it at all. I am completely stunned how bad it was. This was after watching the vikes go into Alt. and run it down their throats.

The Rams are a top five team. I am convinced of that. Next week scares the crap out of me. The next two games actually. They have to beat the best team, and the team that beat the best team. Will be fun to see how the Rams stack up.

    BTW, how did Ebukam do?

There was an interesting aspect to this game that I saw after we were up … and since it’s just a hunch I am not numbering it.

We started taking shots we wouldn’t normally take. I REALLY liked doing that. It accounted for some 3 and outs … but any one of them that hit would have put the game basically out of reach and given us more opportunity to pressure Gabbert into mistakes.
But after a few stalled drives we went back to normal and marched down the field methodically.

This means our two speeds are “fast” and “HOMERUN” rather than Fisher’s “kinda slow” and “prevent offense.”

    That’s really refreshing.

    The Great

    1) Our Safety play. I have been just saying bits and pieces … and mainly about JJ3 … but Joyner had himself a game and JJ3 is playing really fast. Can we pay Joyner? I don’t know … can we put a small tag on him? Doubt that works. Either way I like our chances going forward with the way they have been playing. Also, if I’m not mistaken most of our sacks were coverage sacks.

    2) Finishing.

    3) Pharoh Cooper. Dang dude.

    The Good

    4) Seeing Reynolds get meaningful snaps.

    5) Ebukam getting his feet wet.

    6) The CHANGE in run defense in the 2nd half. Seriously how good is Wade at adjusting?

    7) Losing our MLB didn’t sink us.

    8) Robey Coleman playing faster …

    9) The play design that got Sammy open for a TD.

    10) Giving Everett the chance to body-up in the end zone on 4th and goal.

    The Bad

    11) Whit scaring us with a seemingly slowed foot speed.

    12) Tree’s injury. Need him healed up.

    13) Missed INTs.

    14) Run defense in the first half, as always

    15) Larry Fitzgerald not retiring yet. And passing Ike on the all time yards against us. Ugh.

    clutch punting.

this game was all special teams and defensive turnovers.

it’s crazy. the next game almost always seems like the biggest game.
