This Inventor Is Creating Robots That Could Have Children Soon

If sex robots weren’t already enough of an either terrifying or cool (depending on your own opinion) nearby reality, it would seem that things are about to get even weirder. Why? Well, from the sounds of this story it would seem that this inventor is creating a robot that he thinks could have children in the future. It’s unclear what these robot kids would look like, but the idea is both fascinating and completely chilling.

Can you imagine a world where robots can have children? Is the idea terrifying or exciting? It’s hard to tell but one thing seems certain, it could be a real possibility at some point in the future of our species.

Not As Far Off As You Think
The craziest part is that these kinds of robots that are able to rear children might not be as far away in the future as you think since scientists are, for some reason, experimenting with these sorts of child raising robots.

The Traditional Family
As the traditional sense of family continues to change, it seems unlikely that people would accept this step in the process. Having robots for mothers or fathers might be a step too far for some, if not most, of the population.

For Anyone
The aim with these sorts of projects is pretty noble, they want to bring compassion to everyone–not just the most handsome or social of our species. However, is this taking the idea too far? Or is this a cool way that science is helping us out?

Unconventional Life
Some people just choose to live their lives in unconventional ways, and you know what? More power to them. If having a robot wife makes you happy then who is to say you shouldn’t. Even if we’re kind of afraid that this thing is going to go all ‘Terminator’ on us.

One such example of this kind of robot is created by Sergi Santos, and is a sex robot called Samantha-a pretty normal name for a concept that seems anything except normal. But hey, who are we to judge what someone spends their time inventing.

Sergi Santos
Sergi Santos is the brains behind what some might consider to be a bizarre project. Regardless, it shows that he’s a genius as this is a kind of tech that has rarely worked on this scale before. The inventor is from Catalan.

Moral Code
Sergi wants to implement a type of Moral code into his line of sex robots. Essentially they will understand right and wrong, and will be able to process ethical problems in a way that mirrors how humans deal with our qualms.

Justice and Beauty
The creator of this robot, Sergi Santos has said that he plans to improve the system by updating the SD card to inform the roboto of concepts and human values like beauty and justice, so that it can better blend in with society.

The Next Generation
As promised, there is a possibility of this sex robot having its own children. Sergi said: Then to create a child with this robot it would be extremely simple. I would make an algorithm of what I personally believe about these concepts, and then shuffle it with what she thinks and then 3D print it.”

Its Moral Compass
As we said earlier, there are plans to give it a sense of right and wrong. The creator is so adamant about this that he says it can determine if someone is evil or not after having a conversation with someone using its moral compass.

Simulated Authenticity
The robot is ‘turned on’ by arousal levels controlled by the user touching its erogenous zones–which mimic those on a female human. Despite the robot’s ability to think and make judgements, it cannot turn down sex in this regard. After all, that’s its purpose.

Memory
Samantha, the sex robot, can also memorize people’s identities and can use this information to create more authentic interactions and stimulate real conversations and human intimacy. It would seem that the intent of these robots is to create a being that seems as human as possible, while having the benefits of being a robot.

The Future
The designer of this robot sees a future where men marry, and have children with, robots. This might not be a far off reality, as similar projects have theorized that the first person will marry a robot earlier than you might think.
