I hope you continue your live chat, just change it to NFL football, not Rams oriented

The chats are continuing, at least in the near future.

My question is, will you be covering the Rams through the off-season with your knowledge of all things Rams? So awkward in that I value your opinions, but don’t want to assume that you will continue within your role that we all appreciate so much!

That’s something that’s still being mulled over at the Post-Dispatch. I can assure you, however, that at least for the near future we will have these weekly chats. Usually on Tuesdays unless there’s a conflict. I have a story posted now on Stltoday.com on Todd Gurley being named rookie of the year by the Pro Football Writers. It almost certainly won’t be the same volume of Rams coverage, but there will be ongoing Rams coverage for the near future.

what has the dropoff been in volume of questions for these chats in the last two weeks vs. what it had been normally?

Actually, as far as I can tell we’ve had as many if not more questions on these chats since the vote came down in Houston. I guess part of the reason is that people want to vent. I would guess that as time goes down the volume will drop as this becomes more of an NFL chat and less of a Rams chat.

Can you just go ahead and provide more coverage of the Chiefs, Colts, and Bears since they have regional interest to go along with your Rams coverage? Write just as much, only spread the love. I could see how that might wear you thin though.

Actually, Rob L, I think that’s the plan, or at least the beginnings of a plan. Perhaps w/a sprinkle of Titans as well since they’re so close as well. But again, nothing official at this point.

The comments all read to any Rams story “stop reporting on the Rams”, I still want to read about the Rams,

For every “stop reporting on the Rams” comment you see, I get about a dozen from readers saying they are still interested in the NFL and still interested in the Rams.
