    SNOWPOCALYPSE!!!!!

    They keep upping our totals. We currently are anywhere from a foot to 2 feet. I drove home tonight from work and it was sticking pretty good.

    Apparently the NAM model is giving us over 3 feet. The local guy said they were “Nervously ignoring that one”. The damn NAM!

    I’m hoping to wake up to find this thing fizzled out.

    The Great Snow of 1943

    So in the midnight the great snow
    Covered over the dark ground;
    Feet were hobbled and wheels spun;
    The hydrants smothered, sank, drowned.

    The great snow bandaged the street lights,
    And banked the doors of the bright shops

    Well–it’s here–and they weren’t lying.

    Let the dog out today and she bravely(with a tap on the butt)went out into the snow and promptly turned around and looked at me and said with her dog face: “Are you fucking nuts?”

    And came back inside.

    I must shovel her a path.

    That is tough. 3-6 expected here. Set my dogs up with a heat lamp outside. Other than food and water they are on their own until it melts. They rather like it that way.

    Actually I don’t mind the snow talk. I just really like the expression on this lemur’s face. It’s perfect.

    I dunno how much we got. Looks like
    about 18 inches or so. I love
    the quiet. No traffic on the roads.

    Friend of mine spent half the night
    making a snow-maze.

    This city is buried.

    No plow on my street. People dug out their cars but are going nowhere. Really no where to go with the snow. And to top things off I got my car uncovered–smartly parking where I knew they’d plow. Only it won’t start. Ugh.

    Now my cell phone has taken a crap to boot. Add that to the kidney stone incident I had last week, the bronchitis since December–and it’s shaping up to be a GREAT year.

    Fortunately I’m a Rams fan. I’m used to crushing disappointment.

    Living in Cali, we don’t get any snow here. Just boring rain and boring sunshine. Not much in between.

    I’ve always thought being snowed in would be a good reason to drink a lot and have lots of sex.
