Whole-EE-shit.    I just assumed he would go for the money.   Geez.

To me this is big.   Just like the Von Miller signing.

This is a Hall of Fame player with a Hall of Fame Football-IQ

playing LB which has been a ram weak link.

    Jeezus.

They can just draft DBs, a Kicker, an OLineman and they are

    right in the elite-club again.

Best part of this will be the Seahawk-fan reactions.   Omg.

It’s good news, but I can’t help but feel like the Rams still have a glaring weakness at Punter.

Louis Riddick emphasizes Wagner’s locker room presence.

This is probably not the high point of being a Seahawks fan.

That team is going to suffer this season. Likely 0-4 against the AFC West, and 0-6 against the NFC West. Oof. I might even feel sorry for them if I was capable of sympathy.

I would like them to go 2 and 15 next year.

Two wins coming against the 49ers.

That would be a fine season for Seattle.

    Well alright.

They don’t have a top edge rusher yet. Wagner is not that. But they can scheme some pass rush in. What Wagner does IMO is add leadership, instincts, and a knack for making plays to the LB corps. We’ll see how they use that.

Maybe they become a blitzing D. Wagner can contribute to that, you would think, though he has only averaged 2-3 sacks a year for 10 seasons.

Now’s a good time to remember all those frustrating stops BW made on Gurley, sometimes seemingly out of nowhere.

We have become the team that older players chasing a ring are willing to play for receiving a little bit less money than they could get elsewhere.

    I like it!

    Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
The #Rams give LB Bobby Wagner a 5-year, $50M contract that can be worth up to $65 million. After weeks of talking, Wagner lands back in the division as he wanted.

    Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue
For weeks, the Rams were quite public about their interest in Wagner, who they believe can align with rising star ILB Ernest Jones and help keep them multiple on the back end. Wagner can do everything and will be a day-1 leadership add as well.

    Colin Cowherd@ColinCowherd
Bobby Wagner to the Rams. Lord. So now an Elite owner, GM, HC, QB, WR, DT, LB, CB. HOF level talent at each position. The Jets & Giants combined, are not sure if either of their QB’s can even play.
    .
    RamseyThe4th@RamseyDa4th
Bobby Wagner gets me excited because of his knowledge and football smarts. He will be the captain and will call the plays on the field. This is a huge upgrade, even though another corner would have been nice.

    Sosa Kremenjas@QBsMVP
Bobby Wagner is the best off-ball linebacker the Rams have had since London Fletcher

    wow.  bob.  wow.

well.  one edge rusher short of an elite front seven.

when i think of bobby wagner i think of eric weddle.  only he’ll come in younger and fitter.

they couldn’t sign the honey badger could they?  seriously though.  i think defensive back and edge come through the draft.  then again.  these are the mcsnead rams.  anything can happen.

Well, I’m thinking they may have some guys already who can be decent, if not spectacular. Terrell Lewis has been injured, but could he be good enough – with all these other guys drawing all the attention from blockers – to pressure the QB?

And Rochell looked pretty good to me. There is no reason to believe these guys are as good as their predecessors, but maybe they don’t need to be.

If Wagner comes in and shuts down the 49ers run game, maybe T. Lew creates enough problems for the puppy whathisface they are planning to start at QB. Maybe Rochell is as good as Williams.

And, frankly, my hunch is that Rochell will be better than Williams.

    So…I dunno.

All I know is that the Rams are better right now than they were 24 hours ago.

i like rochell.  but i am a little worried about safety.  fuller will be back, but rapp was inconsistent.  and burgess was nowhere to be seen.

edge rusher.  i don’t believe in lewis’ health.  he’s got everything else, but his knee never seems to cooperate.  and they need depth.  chris garrett?  maybe?

I think it will be Scott and Fuller. And that’s a promising combo.

Yep. Rapp is depth, and the Rams are going to be drafting secondary. What was a strength has been depleted, and it’s time for a reload back there. I think their starting 4 are good.

well on scott i’ll believe it when i see it. he did make some plays. played well in the playoffs. but he only started one regular season game in his entire career.

could happen. wouldn’t count on it.

this is what we’ve needed the last few years…. A tackling machine…..I can’t wait to see the dynamic between him and Donald.  It’s not always about the pass rush.

Yeah, all of a sudden, I think I’m looking forward to seeing this movie.
