I wonder who Jared Goff was rooting for…. his childhood heroes or his old teammates????

    Stafford delivered again.

    Great trade!!!!!

I was terrified. When the 9ers got up 10 on us, I was having doubts. But it feels sweet.

Rams set new NFC title game record for the largest deficit overcome 10 pts.

The Rams made a ton of mistakes but had the grit to overcome them.  Hard fought win against a tough team.

I am an unbelievable 12 for 12. The ENTIRE bracket has gone the way I called it. (Straight up, not against the spread). I doubt I’ve ever been more than a game over .500 in any previous year.

Man, I am glad I did not have to experience a loss today. I would not have felt as good as I do right now.

And I didn’t enjoy that game much. I will have to watch it again sometime before the Super Bowl.

If you had told me zero sacks of Garappolo before the game started, I wouldn’t have believed it.

They held the 9ers to 50 yds rushing, though. That’s what they had to do. Make Garappolo beat them, and he couldn’t. Deebo is a freaking nightmare, btw. I don’t need that guy in this division.

Going in, I thought the Rams had this. But I was in a hopeless land later on, thinking the Niners curse was still in effect. Rams made mistakes and let the game get away from them. But they wouldn’t quit, and reversed the narrative. They reversed the sense that the Niners were the team of destiny this year, albeit via their late-in-the-season wins.

Very proud of this team. Whether it was “win one for AD,” or however they managed to dig deep and deeper, they earned this win. Not through “finesse,” but grit.

Have no idea who should get the game ball, but I do think OBJ came up huge, and, surprisingly, Blanton. Of course, the D did what it needed to do, when it needed to do it, and I think it gets some reinforcements for the Super Bowl, like SJD.

Great win, in a very tough game.

I liked James Harris delivering the trophy. I don’t know why. He was not the best Rams player of that era. And maybe that’s why. But I liked Harris. He wasn’t a great QB, but he was decent.

They presumably could have had Youngblood, or Dickerson, or Everett.

James Harris. Made me smile a little.

only thing i’m sad about.  that robert woods couldn’t play this postseason.  love that guy.

    blanton stepped up big time.

My favourite part was when the Rams won.

All year long I thought the Chiefs had the best team, the most

    dangerous team.

I also thought the Titans would be matchup nightmare, just like the 49ers.

I also thought the Bills would be very dangerous.

So, the Rams avoid all those, and get…the Bengals?

I have no idea who they are or why they got to the

    Super Bowl.

I saw a stat that said this is the first time Matthew Stafford has taken

the soul of a team that has no soul.

At least Kranke did’t take a shot at St. Louis in his doddering speech. Can we never hear from an owner ever again, please?

I would be remiss if I let  this thread fade away without declaring my love for Cooper Kupp. I don’t know how he would have held up in a different era, but what he is doing in this era is incredible. The biggest game of the season might have been his best game of the season.

I’m still exhausted. I so desperately did not want the Rams to lose to the Niners. The next  two weeks will be a fun time for Rams fans. I’m glad that I was around for the McVay years.

Is Eric Weddle, like, three feet tall?    I’m just askin.   He looks teeny tiny.

It is amazing how quickly Weddle has gotten into football shape in order to make a positive difference.

I had major anxiety all week. I wanted another shot at those Hineys. For a while there, I was thinking, “What the fuck was I thinking?” Then after the second Kupp TD I knew we had it in the bag. The Niners couldn’t run the ball and left it in Jimmy G’s hands. A nightmare scenario for them and he came through. For us.

I’m proud of this team. Go Rams.

I wanted them to get another shot at the Beasts as well.

Reminded me a bit of the 99 scenario where the GSOT

had to play the Sapp/Lynch Bucs.

Back in the early 70’s ‘every’ F’ing game was a ‘body-bag game.’

…these kids today and their NFL-flag-football…

I really thought he would function largely as a cheerleader. He’s not only playing, he’s been out there almost every snap, and he’s made plays. It’s incredible.

I agree with both of you. I did not expect anything like what actually happened with him. Basically he learned the defense in a couple of weeks and went to playing every defensive snap against SF, all after a 2 year retirement. I’m not sure we’ve ever seen anything like it.

Is it possible to imagine a superbowl where one team doesn’t take the game seriously and comes out flat?

    I do, yeah.

The Rams have been a different team since they gagged up the big lead to SF.

I think Donald, Stafford, OBJ, Weddle, and Whitworth all know that these opportunities are not frequent guests, and they have to seize this Right Now.

I do not think the Bengals know that. The Bengals are the 2018 Rams, and I expect them to meet the same fate.

joe burrow worries me though.  he got sacked 50+ times this season and still put up the second best passer rating in the league.  the best ypa in the league.  joe mixon was third in the league in rushing.

rams can’t turn the ball over.  they have to win the turnover battle.  they can’t leave points on the field.  they can’t put the defense in bad positions.

but yeah.  donald, stafford, miller, whit…  these guys won’t take this game for granted.  they know they won’t have many more chances at this.  so i fully expect them to hold the team accountable.

when i saw donald rallying his teammates…  i think this team will be ready come 2 weeks.

How did the Bengals beat TN when Burrow was sacked 9 times? I didn’t see that game.
