But the offense was lost. They worried too much about Deebo, and tried to get him involved. And Purdy pressed.

Samuel looks like a problem bc he is due $28 next year, and they have Jennings, Aiyuk, and Pearsall, and Samuel appears to be the expendable at this point, but nobody will want that contract.

Purdy is due a payday now, and they expect the debate about his value will be off the charts.

Samuel and McCaffrey are diminishing returns. McCaffrey basically missed the whole year. What does he have left? What can they expect from Bosa and Kittle in the future? Is the window closed?

As a child of the 70s, I will never be anything less than enthusiastic about that kind of game.

Held the 49ers to 6 points.

The weather obviously screwed up everybody’s plans, but towards the end of the 1st half, McVay finally said, “Screw it, we’re running Williams,” and that turned into points.

Once the rain let up, they went back to the pass, and got enough to win the game.

Beautiful. I loved it. (well, once I accepted the fact that it was going to be that kind of game. It was hard in the beginning when I was still hoping for GSOT 24).

Another game with no fumbles or INTs, though Stafford threw two INTs that were inexplicably dropped.

Tough game. The Rams got a couple of breaks. But they played tough, and made fewer errors.

Actually, that’s it, I think. In terrible conditions, the Rams made fewer errors.

I’m telling you now. Just so you are prepared for a Rams’ victory, even though most of you seem to dread that outcome.

Without their #1 WR, their #1 & 2 RB (and #3 dinged up), and their LOT out of the game, the 9ers will have trouble on offense. Kittle is still among the top TEs in the business, and Purdy is good, Juann Jennings is a problem, and Deebo can go off any moment, but this offense is hobbled, significantly.

Their defense might be fine if Bosa and Greenlaw play, but this is not last year’s defense even if they do.

It may not be pretty, but the Rams will score more. Which is the #1 factor in determining the winner of a game.

I’d say later, myself. But I’m the guy who, in the 80s, said the easiest way to inflict a bunch of terrorist damage would be to fly a plane into a target building. So maybe I’m just an unfulfilled and gifted criminal mastermind.

If they indeed have the actual guy, he was either resigned to getting caught, or intended to get caught from the beginning. I guess there is more to the story, but it sure seems strange that he did everything professionally…except dispose of incriminating evidence – you know – the MOST obvious precaution any moron criminal would do.
