    That old-school football always makes me smile/wince.

    Middle Linebackers of that era were such characters.  There should be a name for era.  Like the Middle Linebacker Era.  Or somethin.  Maybe the Middle-a-zoic Era.  I dunno.

    But it was mayhem.
