znModeratorCameron DaSilva@camdasilvaThe Rams traded back from 218 with the Bucs, and picked up Nos. 235 and 261 in the seventh round
znModeratoršš š@TL_LARamsThereās not been a draft in the Les Snead era that the Rams havenāt picked multiple players from the same position, and thatās not changing this year with another corner drafted

znModeratoron the trade to get Wms
Round 5 trade
Rams receiveĀ
Round 5, No. 164 overall (Kyren Williams, RB, Notre Dame)
Raiders receiveĀ
Round 5, No. 175 overall pick
Round 7, No. 238 overall pick
znModeratorRams up in round 6 with picks 211 and 212 and then 218. Right now. the draft is at pick 200. So not long.

Decobie Durant – CB – SCSU – 5′-10″ 180 lbs. – He really stood out to me in the Shrine Game. Super smooth, fluid, loose hipped, quick and fast. And he competed hard. What I knocked him for was his size and lack of length. In a world of bigger and bigger CBs, I moved him down on size. He balled out against Clemson.
Pros:
Ball skills (12 career ints.)
smooth, loose hipped athlete
light feet
highly competitive (Clemson game stood out and Shrine game)
quick and fast (4.38)
awareness (he seems to understand whats going on around him)
Willing tacklerCons:
height and arm length limit him to the slot
size and length make run support an issue (again, he is willing, he just lacks the size)He is a slot CB that can ballhawk and moves easily in space and can run with any WR.
Thats all I have. Sorry
znModeratorDeadpool
I love the kid. Plays big, plays faster than his 40 time, can block and catch passes (I think he was recruited as a WR ) And he just flat out competes.
Give me players like him and Durant and Bruss all day long.
From my stacked board:
31. Kyren Williams – RB – ND – 5′-9″ 199 lbs.Ā – Plays bigger than his size. Good pass catcher. Not a HR hitter. Due to size, a time share in a zone scheme is his best landing spot.
My 88th ranked player overall
My 6th ranked RBFrom 5 months ago:Ā Kyren Williams I like from ND, but at 5′-9″ 200 lbs, the board will hate him, without ever seeing him play. He plays big, and is super patient at the line.
Pros:
patient runner
physical runner – plays like he is 225
can catch
can pass pro
team leader (captain)
competes hard all 3 downs
nice agility, balance and feet
nice burst
good visionCons:
fumbles
size (plays tough, but is sub 200 pounds)
plays faster than his 4.65, but lacks that HR speed ( I have seen him hit HRs though)Love this pick, if he weighed 15 lbs more and ran a 4.55, he would have been my #3 back. I love his emotion, how hard he competes and his all around game. If he can add 10 lbs of good weight and clean up his fumbles, this is a HR.
znModeratorKyren Williams … built low to the ground with quick feet and plus contact balance.
Superior contact balance is a Rams RB thing. Akers has it, Henderson has it, Brown had it.

znModeratorWilliams signed off by panning the FaceTime around to his family and friends who are gathered with him in Vegas right now – they are so excited – they all waved and shouted, āGO RAMS!ā and Williams said, āsee you all soon!!ā

The Rams are trading for familiar face Troy Hill, per source. Will be for a future pick.Rams24/7@Rams24_7
The Decobie Durant pick makes a lot more sense now that Troy Hill is coming home. Hill immediately is the favorite for CB2 and Durant will compete with David Long for nickelClash Of The Horns 2021 SB Champions@RamfamPodcaster

znModeratorThis is about as good as one can feel about a 3rd round Guard, Iād say. I was hoping Cole Strange would drop, but this looks like a good Plan B.
Did you see the vid of the Rams live when NE picked C.Strange? It’s funny.

Next pick is 142.
…
PARAMI would think they’re gonna go CB soon. Tariq Woolen, Coby Bryant, Mykael Wright are on the board and Josh Jobe from Alabama, who I’ve seen going to the Rams in a mock or two.I’d gladly have any of the top 9 CBs still in the board.

.Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigueHill also was a lead scout on Cooper Kupp, and more recently Jordan Fuller, FWIW..KaiZenRams@KaiZen_RamsHill didn’t expect Bruss to be available at 104 & took the plunge. That’s good to know that Rams were that high on him and marked him as a must pk if he’s there at 104.
znModeratorThe Rams get one of 'my guys' on the OL. Bruss is very similar to Corbett. Makes perfect sense here. https://t.co/MBS8HebMmW

znModeratorRams Tapes @RamsTapesIn pass blocking, Logan Bruss allowed no sacks against 262 pressures last season and just two hits, seven hurries, and nine pressures for a 98.3 percent efficiency by PFF.Bruss is very athletic. Fun fact about him, he started at games at TE as a freshman. Heās as versatile as they get and will eventually be a starter..They traded a 5th in 2019 for 3 years of Corbett, and used a comp pick to take his replacement. Itās just good all around..Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigueSean McVay says Logan Bruss will come in and āimmediatelyā compete at right guard.

znModeratorDeadpoolLogan Bruss – OT/OG – Wisconsin – 6′-5″ 316 lbs. – Great kid from everything I’ve read. Leader, and played OT and OG. He is tenacious blocker with good feet, but a tad stiff. Good, not great strength. I like him in any scheme as an OG, possibly RT, but I saw speed give him issues.
From my final mock draft under the 5th round pick:
Logan Bruss OT/OG from Wisconsin, he’s a team leader, the Rams have had success taking Wisc. OTs and making them OGS, do they try again? I like it.
So, I had him in the 5th round, but the Rams have a completely different strategy than I do stacking a board. Why I mentioned him as a Rams pick in the 5th? Well, he checks all the boxes:
Super high character. Volunteered time with Difference MAKER Football Camp for students with disabilities
team captain and a leader on and off the field
Engineering major (he’s smart)
Edwards transitioned from Wisc, so Bruss should have no issues
1 sack allowed in 3 years (34 starts)
NFL strength
Smooth mover
Strong hands and a solid punch
He likes to maul you, he isn’t a mauler, but he is tenacious once he locks you up. Looks to finish
Plays to the whistle
identifies stunts and understands anglesCons:
A little stiff and can get upright
Can get off balance at times (maybe part of the stiffness)
Speed gave him an issue on the edge (it won’t at guard)He is just a Rams guy thru and thru, high character, smart, hard working leader that fits the scheme. I have no doubt he will do just fine. I like this pick.
znModeratorRich Hammond@Rich_Hammond
Zero fault to be found in the Rams taking Logan Bruss at 104. Solid and sensible pick. What I’d really love to see now are their lists at edge rusher and cornerback, compared to who is still available.

Logan Bruss is gonna start at RG man. This was a good pick honestly
Fishkiller@FV_Mylia_Lynn3 Wisconsin OL. Both Guards & our RT. Our Center is from Michigan St. 4/5 starters from Big 10.
znModeratorLogan Bruss, guard, Wisconsin. Another Wisconsin lineman.
