Just amazing what counts for a news worthy story. You know I think that story is actually offensive. Maybe homophobic.
Somebody should call ESPN on the carpet for that report. The person who’s idea that was should be fired or suspended from his job.Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantTrue enough, you never know until they play but I was raving about the kid in 2012 as well and as I recall Fisher was impressed with him then as well. 2013 was a total shock that he did not perform well in training camp but, you notice they did bring him back. His performance against the Browns was very solid and I’ll say this for him. He gives one the impression he understands command of the huddle and running the offense in a pro game. Bradford after his rookie campaign really struggled with those issues.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantLets not forget that, Austin actually has more time logged with the Schottenheimer offense. 3 years to be exact than Hill does.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantGood to see you back over here. Hundley may not be an Andrew Luck but he’s certainly right there with any other young QB you can name.
Everybody is creaming their shorts over Mariota but I’m am not convinced he’s better than Hundley. If the Rams get Hundley in the draft I’d be very happy with that.Hundley has everything you want in the modern QB. He can run, has good footspeed, he’s tough, smart and has a good arm. Did I say he’s smart? Every listen to Brett in an interview? He’s very well spoken. I think he’s the best QB in the draft 2015.

They really want Manziel to play and they have Grossman to back up Manziel. I think Hoyer could be had for a reasonable price and he’s good.

August 24, 2014 at 6:20 pm in reply to: who should start? will they trade for someone? who? qb discussion #4844GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantThere is no upside to playing Hill. Davis is young. You can grow with Davis. Nobody is picking the Rams for the Super Bowl anyways so why not go with a kid who may have a future?

August 24, 2014 at 5:35 pm in reply to: who should start? will they trade for someone? who? qb discussion #4834GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI nominate Austin Davis as the starter Why not? He’s been with Schotty since 2012. This is essentially his 3rd season with this offense. He’s young, mobile and he has a good arm. He also broke all of Brett Farve’s records in college.
I think Davis is the guy. Given him most of the snaps in the last game. It makes sense. If he can’t do it then you always have Hill to fall back on.

I thought Austin Davis was far more impressive than Hill and showed a better command of the offense and the ability to move the team down field. Most of the team’s points were scored with Davis QB.

August 22, 2014 at 12:47 pm in reply to: Rams Team Value from Forbes & other "Rams to LA?" posts #4581GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI am surprised the Lakers are at 1.35 billion but that could be due to the franchise’s play on the court and ownership. LA is really a Lakers town so tells me that maybe Ballmer over paid for the Clippers. His purchasing price places them up there but will they be up there with the Lakers based on everyday operations? Hmm.

You think they would have been pumped for the new stadium and that they were playing Manning and the Broncos. Broncos are not wasting time on experimenting like the Rams and other teams are. They know what their team is and they are getting them ready to win in the regular season. I wish sometimes that like George Allen use to be able to do that Fisher would identify his starters and 2nd teamers early and play the team during the pre-season with the idea of having them sharp for the opening bell.
I don’t understand this WE HAVE TO EXPERIMENT stuff.
Every time they play a game or step on the practice field they risk injuries, so why be so cautious? The team needs to hone their skills and timing to get off to a fast start.

August 18, 2014 at 4:47 am in reply to: Tavon's plays were not spectactular Saturday but, they were solid #4294GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI do not recall him being targeted in the New Orleans game very often. Seemed like Sam was looking for Tavon on Saturday.
Not impressed with Shaun Hill. Again, since I am here in SoCal I was able to see Clemens perform again and I’m telling you right now he’s much better than Hill but if you want to believe that all the decisions made by Fisher and Snead are the right ones so be it.Grits

August 17, 2014 at 11:59 am in reply to: Torry Holt: Tavon Austin’s Biggest Impact Will be on Special Teams #4200GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantFrom what I saw Saturday versus Green Bay, Bradford has no issues throwing Tavon the ball. Tavon caught both passes thrown his way for positive yardage. Sam keeps tossing Tavon the ball he is going to break a few. I think Torry is off base in is opinion of Tavon. Maybe a little jealous too.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantNot sure why RFL is so angry at Jones. Injuries happen.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantAt this point, yes, they re-sign him and keep him. He came out of nowhere to become the starting right tackle and did a good job.
He has the size, the experience and the physical skills you want.Grits

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI think it is way too early to panic about the defense.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantHave not watched the 2nd half yet but 10 to 7 is not bad at all.
Clearly 3 game will be more indicative of where this team is right now. Should be a full dress rehearsal for the regular season.
This loss doesn’t concern me but the Rams really need to get better against the run and their secondary concerns me a little.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipant2nd Unit line’s run blocking stunk.
