    Interesting tidbits from Bill Parcells

    Parcells was on ESPNLA with Key and the boys.

    He said a couple of interesting things.

    – He hears people saying the Pats are gonna win easily and he doesn’t see that at all.

    – Impressed with McVay’s offense and schemes running and passing.

    – The Rams have one dominant player on defense. He said that like it was a plus. He didn’t say the Pats had any.

    – Gave high marks to Rams personnel dept for getting Anderson. He thinks the Rams aren’t where they are without that pick up. Gurley had issues and may still have them.

    – This is McVay’s first time so he will be leaning on others to handle SB prep. But he still has to go through it for the first time. Wade is an experienced coach and that means a lot in this game.

    BP also said on the Saints last drive of regulation that Payton had a run play called on first down but Brees had an option to throw it. So that was unfortunate since it stopped the clock on the incompletion. But BP said he never would have given his QB the option to throw it. They had to run the ball, passing should not have been an option.

    So in effect, much of the blame goes on Brees, but Payton should not have let Brees change the play.
