The new-look Rams will make their on-field debut Aug. 9, when they play the Baltimore Ravens in their preseason opener on the road.
The NFL released its full preseason schedule Wednesday, and the Rams also will play home games against Oakland (Aug. 16, 17 or 18) and Houston (Aug. 23, 24 or 25) and a road game against New Orleans (Aug. 30).
In a somewhat unusual move, the NFL not only matched the Rams with two of their regular-season opponents (New Orleans and Oakland) but also sent them on two long road trips.
The full regular-season schedule is expected to be announced sometime before the start of the draft on April 26. The Rams will play, for a third consecutive season, at the Coliseum, which is in the middle of a massive renovation project.
It’s already been a busy offseason for the Rams, who have added defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh, receiver Brandin Cooks and cornerbacks Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib and Sam Shields, and also traded linebackers Alec Ogletree and Robert Quinn and lost receiver Sammy Watkins to free agency.
