If you don’t know The Wire here’s a synopsis.

Omar is a street operator who makes his living robbing drug dealers, who naturally don’t appreciate that. His gay lover, Brandon, had been tortured to death in reprisal (“stuck and burned”). Omar is led to believe Brandon;’s killer is a dangerous drug world hitman named Brother Mouzone, who is also a genuinely religious Nation of Islam follower (he in fact quietly prays during the scene.) When the scene starts, Omar uses a favorite tactic, which is to have female accomplices provide a distraction. This gives him the jump on Brother Mouzone’s bodyguard. In the course of the confrontation Brother Mouzone reminds Omar that “the game is the game”–Brandon had played the game and they should have expected the results.

    That’s enough set-up I think.

Season two of ‘The Wire’ doesn’t seem to get the same love that the other seasons enjoy, but I loved season 2. Brother Mouzon was great character, but I also loved the Sobotka storyline as well. Not many people seemed to share my affinity for the Sobotka arc.

Season two and three were my favorites. The last season was my least favorite.

Omar and Brother Mouzone were my two favorite characters. Though it didnt make sense to me that a Nation of Islam disciple would be involved with drug dealers.
    But i aint no expert.
