Signing of Nickell Robey-Coleman (a superb slot blitzer) means flexibility for how #Rams use Lamarcus Joyner.

#Rams DL no longer one of very deepest in league. Talent still there, depth a bit diminished.

Moving to weak side edge fulltime would suit Robert Quinn well. He struggled at times vs. TE help-blocks.

Under Wade Phillips, Robert Quinn will play D. Ware role, meaning weakside edge player.

Big Q for #Rams: can Tavon Austin be true slot guy? Has speed+quickness, but might lack the patience and nuance slot route running demands.

2nd round TE Gerald Everett’s value to Rams will hinge largely on his flexibility. McVay must be able to move him around.

Rams need TE Everett to be flexible because their WRs will be reliant on scheme creating favorable matchups for them.

3rd round WR Cooper Kupp said to be an advanced route runner. Important trait in #Rams precision-based passing game.

Rams pass game built on timing and geometry. Need reliable route runners. A big reason they liked Cooper Kupp.

John Johnson in 3rd round a simple case of Rams filling a need. Safety an area of concern.

Optimistic about Lamarcus Joyner moving to FS. He’s a fierce openfield tackler.

Rams may want to consider Joyner at FS in base and putting him in slot in nickel. Slot a more significant position than FS.

If Joyner plays FS, Rams can put Mo Alexander at SS, where his game is much, MUCH better suited.

Style-wise, for Rams 4th rounder Josh Reynolds plays DeSean Jackson role for McVay, Cooper Kupp plays Pierre Garcon.
