Saw this draft link and they project Bisnowaty to the Rams.

    37. Los Angeles Rams: Adam Bisnowaty, OT, Pittsburgh

Of course this isn’t a sexy pick, but the Rams need a player in the second round who will immediately slide into a starting position and make the team better. That’s exactly what the experienced Bisnowaty can do. He could slide directly into the left tackle spot, which would push Greg Robinson inside to guard. Los Angeles’ pass blocking would be bolstered for second-year quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley should have more holes to work through up front.

I don’t know PA looks like another GRob to me. Comes from a run heavy school and struggles a little in the pass game especially against speed rushers…sounds like GRob to me.

I think I would be fine with swapping GRob and Saffold for a year and getting Elflein from Ohio State to play Center…I think he’ll be there early round 2.

However it goes…I’ll be happy if they address the O-line even though I expect some attention to the line in FA,

Yeah–I have no idea about these college guys. I don’t really watch much college ball at all.

If they get the best center–I’m fine with that. The best guard? Swell. Just so they upgrade this thing.

They say it’s a bad draft year for tackle.

I therefore would never waste a 2nd round pick on a tackle.

Why not do a combo, sign a free agent LT, and draft a late round guy to groom for the LT position, we could draft Jordan Morgan of The Kutztown University. Just saying. You never can go wrong with going with a player from KU ya know. Plus, someone on this board graduated from there as well. Just saying.

How often do FA LOTs work out? (As a rule, good LOTs don’t make it to free agency.)

How often do low draft pick LOTs work out? (The percentages are astronomically bad.)

How often do 2nd round picked LOTs in bad draft years for tackles work out?

    It gets down to this.

Although everyone likes to focus on GR, the OL problems do not reduce to GR. They went way beyond that. Acting like it was all GR and can be fixed with one signing/pick strikes me as just overlooking the problem.

I don’t know, Jack. I don’t think Kutztown is much of a football school. When I was going to Lock Haven, Kutztown didn’t beat us nearly as bad as the rest of the PSAC did. I think I’d prefer a tackle from Shippensburg or Slippery Rock. Gawd, they used to pound us.

this is not the year to draft a left tackle. maybe next year. i would be ok with them drafting a center though.

i’d concentrate on defense. for ol and wr i’d actually go free agency. not sure rookies would help out anyway. need veterans.
