    The preview looks okay. I’m kind of worried how this will work as a film. I read the novel and it’s 75 percent technical manual.

    There are pages and pages of technical jargon and calculations, etc. The author had fun putting the character through a gauntlet of scientific challenges. I didn’t have as much fun reading it. Still, the outline is there for a good film, if it’s focused in the right direction–more characterization–less numbers.

    If you’re really smart and get all of the technical stuff you probably loved the book.

    I would think that engineers would have loved it.
